Default Please help me with a term in this recipe

Okay this is the recipe (for all who may be interested). My question is what the fark they mean by "sausage through dry mustard"?!?!

    Ingredients

1 pound bulk turkey breakfast sausage
3 cups (1/2-inch) cubed white bread (about 6 [1-ounce] slices)
    2 cups skim milk
    1 1/2 cups egg substitute
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
    1 teaspoon dry mustard
    Vegetable cooking spray

    Preparation

    Preheat oven to 350°.
Cook sausage in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain well.
Combine sausage and next 5 ingredients (sausage through dry mustard) in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray; stir well. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Note: Look for this sausage product in the fresh-meat or freezer section of the grocery store.

Combine the first 5 list items, all those between (and including) sausage and mustard.
I can see how "sausage" could seem like a verb here...

It means sausage plus the next five ingredients - sausage through dry mustard on that list. So, combine the cooked sausage and everything else except the cooking spray.

Yes I think Yek is right too, but that is a really weird way to say combine first 6 ingredients.

I don't want you to think I'm making fun of you, but this whole situation is hilarious to me. It's partly that the wording of the recipe is ridiculous. And the idea of using the word "sausage" as a verb is titillating. I hope you won't be offended if I quote this thread for my own amusement.

Sienna and Yekhefah already thoroughly covered it, but like TOTH, I, too, think it's hysterical to think of "sausage" as a verb.

How did it turn out, anyway, Bella? Looks like a healthier version of a strata, potentially nummy!

Heh, I was wondering where Teeth's location came from. I thought "ooh, what inpenetrably inspired creativity is that?"

Are you guys kidding? That's a pretty common usage in a recipe. Don't y'all cook? Silly liberated women who can't read a cookbook . . .

Hahahahaha do it through the dry mustard... oh yeah, harder faster...

Umm this thread is never going to NOT be funny to me. I am so simple-minded sometimes.
