Oh New Jersey.......... You can't catch a break can you?
Dude, could have told you that without having to do some expensive research project. Cost of living is ridiculously high, traffic is insane, *and* they just took away the death penalty. What do we have left to live for here?!![]()

Same with South Florida, I think. Most of the middle working class people I've talked to want to move to Houston, Chicago, DC, North Carolina, and places like that.

Uh- uhhh! I guarantee once you go to nearly ANY other state you'll feel punked for having paid this high-ass rent and mortgage and insurance and food and toll costs! The moment you leave here you get at least a $10,000 raise! I went to Texas and Nevada even South Carolina and CRIED! They pay a THIRD the rent we do for twice the space! The day I stop dancing I'm going to Dallas where instead of paying $1300 for a 2 bedroom I can pay $700. AND have a workout facility and friendly westerners sick shopping and sexy cowboys and GOOD steak......(bliss)![]()

"The number of residents who had left the state more than tripled from 2002 to 2006, with 231,565 people moving elsewhere."
Well count me in with those bunch! I get very mixed bt Jersey pride and the reality.....uh Jersey was not all that nice to me, whaddya know.
MANY of my friends have moved to PA. (I didn't hang out with rich kids of course!)
I'm surprised they say adults! I see young ppl doing this, taking a look around and making a smart move before they get stuck, like yours truly.![]()

Actually this figure is skewed, because it arguably represents the net of 370,000 'taxpayers' leaving the state while 140,000 immigrants have moved in - many of whom don't actually pay taxes, and many of whom consume social services for which the tab must be picked up by NJ's remaining 'taxpayers' ! BTW the same phenomenon is also happening in CA and NY for exactly the same reasons."The number of residents who had left the state more than tripled from 2002 to 2006, with 231,565 people moving elsewhere."
Of course most mainstream media will tell you that illegal immigrants DO pay taxes - which is arguably true at the federal level thanks to SSI and medicare tax, and is arguably true at the local level thanks to sales tax. But where income taxes are concerned, not !
