Default Poles from Spencer's gifts store?

um, this has got to be a joke right? There is a pole on sale for 99.00 at Spencer's. I would assume this is just for frat guys and girls who just want to fuck around but not do any serious tricks? Does anyone have experience with it?

(I just see those videos of poles falling over while people on them on youtube and it freaks me out)

They aren't sturdy..... like... at all.

edit: They have one which screws into the ceiling (the $99 one). I guess it could be sturdy... maybe?

Yeah its not sturdy, and its the one featured in all those utube videos where it falls over as soon as you put some weight on it.

LOL I was shopping at a stripper store recently and they had one of these set up. The owner of the place took a liking to me and suggested I take it for a spin. Good thing I know my poles when I see 'em. I warned him the thing was a lawsuit waiting to happen. Hope for his sake he listened!

OMG NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! These poles are seriously NOT SAFE!! Not even the ones that screw into the ceiling. Seriously spend the extra hundred or two for a real pole. These are a broken neck waiting to happen!!

It's made with a spring so the suction decreases over time. It's much better to invest a few hundred dollars into a real pole for doing real tricks, not a novelty room decoration for college men's dorms.

I actually have that pole, it was THE WORST 99.00 I have ever spent in my life. The only thing you can do is hold on to it and sway, or gyrate, if you even try to swing around it, or climb it you are so going down. After I bought it I tried to see if I could get a refund and they refused. It's almost like they know it's a POS and that is why they won't give refunds on it but they will give refunds on Halloween costumes etc.

Nope not safe. Was it the peek-a-boo? A clerk at the adult bookstore tried to sell me one, telling me it was completely safe! Yeah ok *rolls eyes*

The peek-a-boo is the same one that they sell at Spencers. I guess it is safe if you just want something to hold onto and rub.

I don't think that weight is the problem I weigh 124, and my friend weighs 112 . We both tried to play on it and it was humorous because when we played on it we both fell down and we were dying laughing, and she's like OMG girl, where the fuck did you get this pole.
ETA: the pole is in my living room and the ceiling is kind of tall.

Some things you jsut need to do right, or not at all. Having a cheap pole come down on you could SERIOUSLY hurt you. I would not even risk that option, and invest in a real, quality pole.

As someone stated, they are jsut for decoration and at parties where people just kindda dance around it. Not for people actually doing pole tricks and what not.

    JOKE..JOKE...

that is why it is sold at Spencers...a NOVELTY shop.

It is not a real dance pole...I have seen too many girls seriously harm themselves when they are told that they can do tricks on it..

If you are that desperate...and dont want to spend the money...go to the park!! At least that pole will hold you up!

I went to a private party to dance and they had one of hese. LUCKILY my friends boyfriend was standing right next to me and as the pole stipped he pushed it back into place. The lady who owned it would not believe that it was sliding off when I decided not to touch the damn pole anymore.
