Default Had to share, don't want to offend.

Many of you know i am reading and study ( on my own through books and others who are ina small group) Serial Killers.

Dennis Radar (BTK killer) has FINALLY written me after 3 letters to him.

He sent word to me i would say is safe to share.

Dennis Radar: Pamela, never open your door to a stranger, even the mailman is a stranger"!!!!!!! Yes, i am happy. I don't glorify him, i told him so.

But asked for A TIP. I got one.

My studies are going to move along well i hope!

He did not have much to say, not even that he is sorry. Of course i expected that.

I am learning, and moving on to other well knowns. All to learn. YES! YES!

I could not believe when my roomate brought the mail home from the PO box.

Wow, that's very interesting. I have read a lot of books and articles on serial killers and have gotten to know much about a lot of them. Never thought about writing one though. Would be interesting because many of them have high iq's and are sort of geniuses in their own way. I also like watching programs and documentaries on these subjects, and court tv is my favorite channel!

Thank you, thank you thank you!!!!

No. Not yet anyway. It takes time, sometimes never. Some don't want to write i hear, or wont. You really have to be careful with the questions or the letter wont be delivered either from staff.

I aslways wanted to interview Jeff Dahmer. That was a dream. I felt safe i guess knowing he did not kill women.

I am soooo stoked! I sooo want to learn so much about these people in the next few years. If i can keep his interest on a level that has nothing to do with me but all about him, i may be able to get another letter. At the same time keep making it clear i do not glorify him! I actually despise him. He must know that.

Wow. Though I don't necessarily agree with rewarding murderers by acknowledging them for their crimes I understand and am grateful you shared the information. I'm curious, what else have you learned about serial killers?

The thing is, he didn't necessarily go after strangers (although I think most do- is that correct?) I just looked him up quick on wikepedia and it says his first two victims were co-workers. It also says this:

Rader worked at a Wichita-based office of ADT Security Services, a company that sold and installed alarm systems for commercial businesses during Rader's years there.[4] He held several positions, including installation manager. It was believed that he learned how to carefully defeat home security systems while there, enabling him to break into the homes of his victims without being caught.

How fucking creepy is that??? You think your safe because you lock your doors? It takes about 30 seconds to kick down your front door and about that long for any locksmith to pick the lock. Home security system? Apparently not enough...

Yea wow! With serial killers some are random some are not. He was known to "home in" on many women, families, and fake being a worker of some sort to gain entry.

He played cat and mouse too long. I certainly am very glad this sick fuck got caught, but in the long run they (Serial Killers) can't help but "taunt" the media knowing this is going to end.

Jeff was different, he was a Serial Killer who wanted to be whole, so he took various organs from victims thinking they would bring like more "life" into him.

Their reasons suck, they are indeed wired wrong. Their brains are different. And they deserve their Karma no doubt.

Dennis was a well know person in the community. Church...what a mind blower.

To get advice (if that was his intent) i asked for, he gave me a VERY good tip. I think i know my mailman...i'm not going paranoid, but this coming from Dennis Radar SHOCKED ME! HE gave me a small but perhaps very valuable piece of information i will use. I never thought about UPS, mailman, DHL, etc...never. Now i will.

I responded tonite, hope he gets the letter before Christmas and responds. He may grow bored. I am boring. But, you don't send pictures of yourself to these guys that's for sure. Or give out TMI about yourself. I need to keep his interest.

Again, this has been a long journey for me. I am into learning alot about these people. I feel not honoured, but chosen perhaps...For now anyway.

    Congrats, Pam!

You are studying an enigmatic, often intelligent and highly charismatic group of individuals. I hope you receive the response you are anticipating from Mr. Rader.

From 1995 to 1999, I worked at a conditional release program that treated and monitored people who had been found Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity or had been released on parole as Mentally Disordered Offenders.

Our clinical director required us to read James Ellroy's "Killer On The Road," which was originally published in 1986 as "Silent Terror" & re-released in 1999 as "Killer On The Road," in honor of the Doors song. At the time, he described it as "a long look into the mind of a serial killer." It's a profoundly unsettling book--but one that's probably right up your alley.

    Are you familiar with it?

"Growing up in Los Angeles in the 1950s and 1960s, orphaned Martin Plunkett perfects his skills at burglary and voyeurism (and also has a brush with Manson's "family") before doing a year in prison for breaking and entering. He moves to San Francisco, commits his first double murder there in 1974, and then is off on a spree across the western states, killing roughly 40 people before running afoul of a Wisconsin State Police sergeant named Ross Anderson in early 1979. The sergeant turns out to be another budding serial killer! A sort of love-hate killing competition develops between the two twisted men as FBI serial crimes agent Thomas Dusenberry slowly but steadily tracks them both down. This 1986 novel (also published under the name _Silent Terror_) was Ellroy's fifth and bloodiest tale before he began the stunning LA noir quartet."

Might be able to get Berkowitz to mail you. Most of the really bad SK's are dead. Bundy, Gacy, Dahmer all dead. Never a good Serial Killer around when you need one.

Wasn't aware of your interest. I don't read all that much on SW.

When you put your heart and soul into studying something, it feels so good to be validated... even a little bit. And to receive some sort of validation from the subject itself is a milestone.

Congrats. He has already exercised fear and control into you by making every innocent person appear as potential danger. Society and civilization doesn't operate very well in those circumstances and they are, in the end, detrimental to you in society.

Beware their games - they are subtle.

Awesome. As long as you only see him as a study subject and not a human. This is the ONE time I'd say DONT look at him as human.

I admit...I have a degree in psych and I've always been facinated by serial or random killers( I wrote to Amy Fischer when she first went to jail..never got a response). It is utterly facinating strictly from a sociological or psychological standpoint to try to understand what makes people like this tick.

Good for you that you got a response...thats amazing! I'd be stoked too!!

Yes i am (have been) just could never break ground with the more "infamous" it seems. I only want to study Serial Killers not Mass Killers etc.

I do not have that book, but it's a MUST buy. Thank you!! I have many, two of my favorites include the "Serial Killer Diaries" & "The Serial Killer Files".

Thanks again, going to check that book out online and probably purchase it.

Radar has a book out written about him, author a woman, i heard it was not worth the read. Now that i have heard from him i may not purchase that book.

Great point Cam. I do see them as people, but not capable of having human emotion. They have killed for their pleasure, no other reason.

Yea. I think i wrote in my first message that my roomate picked up the mail from our PO box.

Still Radar would not have access to my home addy. Guards open all mail coming and going as well as take the envelope and trash it. Radar would not get it. Also he is allowed to take phone calls, but that is NOT what i am after. I never want to talk on the phone. Intreview is my final goal. In person of course.

Ahaha....Dahmer was the one i wanted to interview, but i was young and he was killed after the first interview by another inmate who also killed another inmate with Dahmer while the three where cleaning. The man who killed them did not target Dahmer, he was just there when the inmate went off.

The others....hmmm, when Radar lost interest i will move on. They get so much hate mail, if they are allowed to recieve mail that they toss it. I guess after the third attempt he got sick of me and responded.

He is all about him still...Sick. That one tip i asked for. As Deogal says pretty much could be mind games, to put fear in me, and at the same time very good point, and taken. It's how he gained entry alot.

I've always been weary of "innocent" strangers aka plumbers/cable people. Because I'm paying them, I should trust them, no way. But I'm scared of everything, especially people.

Thats really cool that he wrote back! I would totally get a kick out of that. A face to face interview would be CRAZY. That would be wildly interesting though. I'm taking a serial killer class in the fall, I can't wait. It's great to know I'm not the only "weird and sick" one as everyone tells me.

Wow congrats! Persistance pays off. I had no idea they could write to "commonfolk" I really only though it was the police and stuff. And he gave you that tip for a reason, prop not to freak you out. I would follow that advice, even though most of us already do, this is a good reminder that when in doubt don't open the door.

Oh Manson...who i would not ever dream of writing too, gets a ton of letters.

Sure at first many can't recieve letters from just anyone it seems. But after time people can write, but it's rare i guess they write back. Unless you want marriage (that is sick) or another reason to "feed" thier minds.

Me i said flat out "I DO NOT GLORIFY YOU"! I was to the point and not happy about the killings. Got his attention with the tip question i think. Even in Prison they can't change, and LOVE attention. I really really think he liked (TO HIM) i felt like a poor soul who needed saving. And that caught his attention.

I have been reading for years, and went by the books pretty much to get his attention. Guess alot to be said for those books. Because i had nothing to say that would actually want him to write me, except what i learned...Get their attention.

And Joplin....WOW! Let me know how it goes...yea we are sick..
