Those strips of skin look like bacon. That definitely goes into my extreme BM folder.

that was definitely interesting. those bits of skin were a bit disturbing, though. why would you do that to yourself?
interesting results in the end, but ewwwww, the process was gross

I think thats pretty cool. Extremely hardcore, but cool. I bet just moving hurt for a long time while that was trying to heal, ouch.

It's a bit odd to me but the guy who did it is talented. The end result is good artwork, if that's the right word for it. Wonder how much it hurt?
I wonder if she was on antibiotics. The risk for infection is soo high when half of your entire back is an open wound....
Not to mention the pain of getting your skin cut off like that. Yuck.

^^^ that's what I was thinking. How in the world do you walk around with that much open wound and not get an infection?!

my boyfriend has talked about having some scarification done. i thought about it myself as well, but i'm too much of a germaphobe.
most people i know who have done it take a week off of work and i think also took antibiotics.

i wonder why she just didn't have that design done in a red ink, it would look the same.

ohhhh scarification. i cannot do that, i know it would hurt too bad.

I have never heard of this before. It looks cool in the end, but my stomach was churning looking at the process.
Here's a video showing another scarification tat:

beautiful end result, but gross. ugh.

......just to feel.....the half-blood prince...
WTF.............

Well, scarification doesn't heal red. It will be a large patch of scar tissue, much like how you would scar. Perhaps slightly darker than the rest of the surrounding skin, and most definitely a different texture. A couple fraternity brothers I know have had their fraternity's letters cut into their arms. It came out really nice.
And, red ink is rather infamous for being a stubborn ink. A nuber of people are allergic to it, and some people just eat up red in the way most people eat up white ink. It had a hard time staying vibrant.
it's scarification. it heals as a keloid. i have a big ole snowflake on my back. it's a beautiful mod.
The end result is lovely. It very much reminds me of the marques in the Kushiel's Legacy series. And I had no idea what those scraps of flesh were until yall said "skin." Looked entrailish to me. Much relieved now.
I've never heard o this before. Te end result is beautiful but it just looks sooooo painful, I'm way too squeemish to get anythig like that daone.
That's pretty fucking disgusting.
Just... why?! I know I'll ruffle some feathers, but it's just like the chick that goes everywhere in the hoochie miniskirt with no panties on and a tube top... attention. Instead of, "Hey look how hawt I am lulz" it's "Hey I'm more badass then you zomg"
Unless she gets off on the pain.
I dunno. I have no comprehension for this kind of thing.

One could say all tattoo owners are out for the attention. It's her body, her desired mod. For all we know, the only time she shows it is when she's in a bikini. I have tattoos on my back that you normally would never see until I'm nekkid. It could be the same way here. No need to be haughty.

My friend has one of those, it actually looks pretty cool...now. But she had photos too.. uughhsdghdglkdfgdg.d.g..

Well, cool, if thinking slicing strips of your skin off is a bad idea then alright.
Different strokes.
