Default "Who in this room would you ask for a dance?"

I just wanted to thank whoever made the suggestion that after a guy turns you down for a dance, you ask him who you should approach next. It's such a fun game for so many reason!

    1. You have a reason to leave and leave on a good note, with a smile.
    2. I always like to scope out the room when I leave the guy so I know where I am going next and you can do this without being rude.
    3. I'm much more motivated to keep hustling and I'm in a better mood when I approach this guy because I know I'm on a little mission and the guy who said no is watching.
    4. Guys who I have done this with have come to me for dances later!!!

That's pretty cool. I think I'll try that.

I would not want him to see me get turned down though, but that's just me. I don't like feeling like people are watching me, which is ironic considering the job.

If it was someone I hadn't already hustled, I would feel weird getting turned down but I figure since the guy already turned me down for a dance, I don't really care what he thinks.

The last time I did this I hustled a young guy and he said "go for that old guy over there. I bet he would want a dance from a young thing like you." I tried and got turned down and then the young guy came and grabbed me by the arm and took me up for a dance saying "I can't believe that guy said no to you, what a bad move on his part!!!"

Hah! I just don't care what anyone thinks. You're not going to give me what it is I want, then somebody else will. Go ahead and watch me.

I really only care what others think in so far and it helps me to make money.

Eh, I've had a guy make a suggestion before, and it was mildly amusing. But really, I don't feel like rewarding the guy for rejecting me by asking his opinion on ANYTHING that has to do with me making money.

I'm glad it worked out for you though. That kid ended up being cool. Yay for you.

^True. I'd most likely just take off afterwards for the rest of the night anyway and not even make it back to him. You had your chance, buddy.

The last girl that used me that way asked me to pick her another one. "The last guy you sent me to gave me $100.", she said.
"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

I actually use this technique on customers I have danced for. I say to them, "ok I"m gonna go in the back and freshen up. Do me a favor and check out the guys for me and tell me whose checking me out."
When I come back, I ask, "so who should I get a dance from next" They usually tell me why the pick the guy they did. It's usually been a 90% success rate.

i've tried this in the past, with larger groups though. not with an entire room. "so which one of your friends is the least cheap? he he (giggle)" and 75% of the time it works. but, im a quick mover when i hustle, therefore this game may not be a good one for me.

    Love it!

It's good when the club is slower. And as far as getting turned down by the person he picks, it's no biggie - I just go back all pouty to the first guy and he'll usually get a dance, or we'll try again.

Like lots of hstling tricks it's dependent on the right situation.

I like to do the, "Watch this," type of thing when I'm either finishing up with a guy or if I'm sitting with a non-spender or one of those bar regulars who sits and sits. Then I go over to whoever I've just pointed at and sell it. It takes a bit of confidence, but I'm pretty good at reading the crowd. Then I turn back and smile at el cheapo as I'm walking to the back.

^There is something to that kind of confidence. I used to do something similar - I'd pay my stage to the doorman or I'd be checking out with the DJ and I'd say, "I'm going to go make you your tip, hold on..." and I'd go give a guy a quick hustle for another $20 +, then walk back smiling to whoever, hand them the money and go home.
