Having more muscle really helped my metabolism.
I really don't know much else than that for long term effects.

That is true but also add b- vitamins but b-12 is the best it also helps your energy levels as well as helps for depression and if you need help focusing.![]()




Okay this isn't specific to metabolism...but when I take a good multi (I love GNC's Ultra Mega) I have a lot more energy and have WAY less drive to eat. Seriously, those things cut my appetite in half, it's crazy.

Seriously, the best way to speed up your metabolism is to condition your body to do it on its own:
Regular excercise, smaller meals, decrease stress, etc.....
Don't ask me how to make all of that work though, its impossible for me to take the time for the 6 small meals a day. I just go with a meal plan of 4.

Get a jump rope. Try to jump 10 to 20 mins. before you eat anything in the morning.
I had a trainer that had me incorporate this into my program 3 to 4 times a week. This was seven years ago. I did NOT GAIN THE WEIGHT back. It made all the difference in my metabolism. I don't do it nearly as often as I used to, but I have still kept the weight off.
Of course, I ate well, lowered my carb intake (but still ate them) and did other things to exercise.
But that little jump rope works wonders and it will tone your lower body well.
