    DJing in New Orleans

Any suggestions, ideas, etc about clubs in Nawlins to DJ at? Are there any permits for Dj's?

I came to ATL with high hopes and the clubs I went to loved me, but I came here on a prayer and don't have the money to live and pay for a ridiculous permit to play music..... and not a city wide permit but a permit per club..... ugggghhhh.....

leaving ATL Jan 3rd, in NO the 4th,

would appreciate any ideas anyone might have.....thanks

Hey, tell me about the "permit" thing. Is it an ASCAP thing, or what? I've never heard of that at all. I know the club itself sometimes has to pay a fee yearly, but it's rarely been an issue. I'm intrigued.

-No advice for NOLA though, sorry.

Hey MrC.... no it's a "work in the adult industry sheriff's dept" kinda thing!

They fingerprint, do background check (no felonies), charge like $250 dollars kinda thing.... and that's a per club deal so you can't get the permit and work anywhere.... you must pay for a new permit if you change clubs... at least that is how it was desribed to me!

So, on to the Big Easy..... see what happens there!
