My arms and abs have always been pretty toned until I had my baby. I still have that little pooch at the bottom of my belly. And I can't seem to find any exercises to tone the back of my arms. Do you ladies have any suggestions?

The best exercise for toning the arms are single-joint movements, like curls and tricep kick-backs. These exercises place direct stress on the bicep and tricep muscles of the arm causing them to firm up much more quickly. In fact the triceps muscle at the back of the arm make up two-thirds of arm size so it would probably be best to work more at toning the tricep muscle of the arm. Some good tricep exercises to tone the arms can be found .
I have an awesome book called "Strength Training Anatomy" by Frederic Delavier.
I am a beginner at toning via weightlifting, and this book is so simple to follow. It is basically a picture book, showing you how to do each move and exactly what muscle you are working. It has helped me learn how to target specific area (like the back of the arm).

Burn more calories than you consume. You cannot spot tone. Doing specific exercises will not get rid of the fat that is being stored on your arms and belly. They will make the muscles stronger and firmer, but if you don't get rid of the layer of fat cells on top of the muscle you won't have that "toned" look you are trying to achieve.

Yea, that's what I want. To burn the fat and have more muscle in my arms.

Diet and exercise, weight train 2-3x a week. cardio 60 mins 3-5 days a week. East less calories than you burn. When I am in a leaning out phase I eat 1200 calories a day and do 90 mins of cardio. When I am just maintaining I eat 1500-1800 per day and do 60 mins of cardio.
