Default Reflecting on 2007..what did you learn?

I have been doing a lot of thinking about 2007 and I feel like even though this last year was tough, I learned a lot about myself and life in general.

    I learned

    *to stand up for myself
*quit trying to fix every situation. They can't all be fixed.
    *trust my gut
*too much of anything is not good (duh)
*to keep an open mind because sometimes you just have to look at things in a different way to solve the problem
*to move on from toxic relationships

    just to start

What did you all get out of 2007 ?

*to stand up for myself and if people give me shit, they deserve to know exactly what I think of them

*Be responsible. Following the rules (at least to some extent) can keep you from a lot of trouble!

*Don't trust anyone unless you have some good reasons to.

-have faith in my ability to make money (work-in-progress).
-how far I can be pushed before freaking out.

I learnt that I prefer being single.
I learnt that you feel much better if you wake up and concentrate on all of the physical things which are feeling good / working / not aching or hurting and dont think about the bits that are!

dancing is great - it paid for a new nose, boobs and brand new car.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Apparently, nothing. I accomplished some things, but right now, mentally, feel like I'm in the exact same place. Hopeless.

    - Natural family planning is not effective birth control
    - you really can plan and execute not one but two weddings in very little time with not a lot of money
    - Friendships take work but a real friend will always be there for you no matter how long you've been gone
    - all men are butt sluts, most are too afraid to admit it
    - A good mattress really makes a difference in your quality of sleep
    - A lush bath is the greatest bath on earth
    - Shopping really is kind of like therapy
    - Anytime is a good time for cereal
    - Some things just taste better if they are organic (like milk and meat especially)
    - The best orgasms are the ones that make you cry or laugh hysterically
    - Stay positive
    - Most importantly I learned that there is such a thing as fate and soul mates and by being true to yourself and never settling you can find everything you want.

2007 was the best year of my life and its only looking up from here

    I learned that too.

    I learned-

    who my real friends are

to kick energy-draining, manipulative people to the curb

and that health care reform needs to happen NOW in America!

Learned to have sex with a stranger in front of a roomful of other people on camera and still make it seem as real as possible(all those years of acting lessons are paying off)

I learned that I apparently give better blow jobs then most porn girls....almost every guy I've worked with has had to cut during the blow job so he doesnt come from it. Didnt know I was that good.

I've learned to stand up for what I believe in. Not that I didnt know that before...but I dont let ANYTHING go anymore. And it works. I complain about the owners friend trying to rape me...he does something about it. I yell at my agent that he isnt getting me any shoots...I have one booked the next day. Being a bitch pays.

I learned that if I want respect ...I have to DEMAND it.(and deserve it)

I learned that not(or barely) working for months because of panic attacks and anxiety makes me 3 months behind on bills which just makes my anxiety worse. So I need to force myself...however I can.

Ive learned I have an unhealthy obsession with Veronica Mars (and a UNGODLY girl crush on Kristen Bell)

I've learned its been a long time since I've been with a girl...and i've never done it alone(every girl experience I've had has been part of a swinger party). I want a girl all to myself. I want to feel what its like to wake up next to a girl I had sex with. Maybe when I go to LA next if SarahSynn is up for it!!

I've learned flavored green tea is the best thing ever.

I've learned that frozen pizza or a bag of potato chips are NOT an acceptable midnight snack every night

I'm trying to have hope that 2008 will be better. 2007 STARTED out wonderfuly....maybe If I apply all I learned this year...this year will be better.

I learned to be more organized with everyday 'chores'. Instead of letting laundry and trash and dishes pile up for weeks, I've gotten into the habit of cleaning up after myself immediately.

I've learned I can make money at work without being cracked out or drunk.

I've learned that it is incredibly easy to gain weight, but the time and effort needed to lose it is much longer and takes determination. Vice versa, eating stuffed crust pizza does not take nearly as much determination.

But all in all, 2007 sucked ass. I'm glad it's 2008!!!

    I agree, 2007 sucked.

I learned men get angry when you play them.
I learned I do not have to tolerate relationship shit.

I learned how to be angry.

Let's hope the new year is better

I'm a lot stronger than I thought I was, and a lot more dependent than I want to be.

    My body is a goldmine.

I'm not as terrible a person as I thought I was.

    I like tortilla soup.
