Default Best club to take my wife while in Las Vegas?!

We'll be in Las Vegas next week (staying on the strip) and we're planning on hitting some strip clubs while there. Its our 1st time there however, so I know nothing about the clubs. I'm from the East Coast, and know what to expect at my places, but here is what I'm looking for:

    1. Safe (both the surroundings, and inside).
    2. Relatively clean (both the place and the girls).
    3. At least topless if not completely nude (not a bikini bar).
    4. Since we don't drink, any requirement to buy girls drinks for attention or tables, etc. is a big turnoff.
    5. Some caressing in LDs would be fine, but nothing crazy or a place where extras are commonplace.
    6. A place that is extra friendly to female clients is a bonus, especially if they give extra attention to them during LDs.
    7. I'm not looking to spend a fortune just cuz we're in LV. If a place is highly recommended but expensive, we may still give it a shot, but probably won't stay too long.

I don't even know where these places are, and we won't be renting a car, so we'd be taking taxis to these places. If this becomes a pro or con of a place that you'd recommend, please let me know.

    Thanks!

I haven't been out there in four years, so the locals or more recent visitors can give you a better recommendation. Personally, I'm kind of on the fence between Club Paradise, (on Paradise Road right across from the Hard Rock), and one of the gritter old school clubs like Olympic Garden or Cheetahs.

CP would be more in the safe and relatively clean department. The others would be more tuned towards allowance of "caressing" during dances. Extras are known to go on in the VIP rooms of the latter clubs, but in all honesty, if you don't want extras you don't have to get them (for that matter, you don't have to go to the VIP room to get a dance, and unless you want to pay an effective $40+ per dance I'd recommend avoiding it). Dancers will try to hustle you back there though at most any Vegas club, so just a warning. If you want to see some kitty, you're going to have to be resigned to "juice" clubs. I personally avoid these places, but Deja Vu and Little Darlings are your best bet.

Wherever you go, expect to pay a small fortune to get in ($20-40) and another small fortune for drinks, whether they're alcoholic or not. As far as dances go, its all a matter of how involved you want to get. You can easily drop $200/hr in Vegas clubs just on the main floor. If you go to the VIP rooms the damage to your wallet compounds significantly.

I best warn you about using cabs to get to any of the clubs. The Vegas clubs pay the cabbies kickbacks for bringing customers to their door (which explains the high cover charges). Some clubs pay bigger kickbacks than others and its not uncommon for a cabby to persuade a rider (sometimes aggressively) to go to "Club B" instead of the "Club A" that they asked to go to, even going to the lengths of lying that "Club A" is closed.

Unfortunately, without your own transportation, you're pretty much resigned to cabbing it. The one exception would be using the CAT buses. OG is right on Las Vegas Blvd and the bus route goes right by it. However, it is a somewhat sketchy looking neighborhood that your SO might not feel safe in. If by grace of God, you're staying at the Hard Rock or a hotel near it, you can pretty much walk to CP.

All I can say is that if you use a cab, and the driver tries to take you somewhere other than you want to go, get out and find another one.

    Thanks for the reply man.

Nah, I don't go to VIP rooms, I find that worthless. But the lapdance room is important.

I expect to pay a higher cover... for LV I suppose $20-$40 isn't horrible. Any places I go to here are either free or cheap cover, or high only on a Sat and then I go somewhere else instead. Do ladies get free or discounted cover?

I'm used to $20 LDs (possibly more on Sat's, but also avoid that too) where I am. So if LV is gonna be $20-$40, for this short lived experience, I can handle that I suppose. Especially since my main focus is gonna be entertaining my wife. This will only be the 2nd time taking her to a SC, and the 1st one I picked was tame on purpose. We figured we'd open her eyes in LV (cuz of that great LV modo!). So I'm not going to go crazy on myself like I normally would when I go with buddies. Having said that, you said $200 on the main floor. How does that happen? Are things different here?
This is what I'm used to:
    1. Main floor > spend your ones on tips on the stage(s) or girls walking around the bar.
    2. Lapdance room in back or side > $20 per dance (depending on place this is private or semi-private, but still off the main floor).
    3. VIP room > private dances 30 min or longer.
    I spend my time and money on #s 1 & 2, never on #3.

The drink thing is disappointing, but I guess if we have to pay $5 for some diet cokes, so be it (having said that, can we even get away with THAT?!).

The last thing I want to do though is take her to some hell-hole that's either nasty or dangerous for her.

I appreciate the tip on the cabs though, I would never have thought of that.

BTW, grittier shouldn't be a big problem as long as its safe enough. The other reason to know about the clubs is how we should be dressing. If we go to a club after a dinner/show and we're dressed up, we don't want to show up to a more seedy place and stand out like sore thumbs, but if we go to more upscale place we'd blend in. But if we wanted to go to that seedier place, we'd change 1st!

    Take care to Club Paradise.

You will each have to pay $20 if you take a cab, and even if you don't, most likely.

Dances are $20 on the floor, then there are two levels of VIP, where you have to start a bar tab. It gets expensive.

You have to sit around the stage or walk up to it to stage tip.

You also might try Spearmint Rhino or Sapphire.

Its not what you're used to, I can promise you that. And what do you mean by "open her eyes"? If she isn't going to be comfortable with contact lapdances, then take her to a Showgirl Review, or the Pussycat Dolls instead. No one needs a downer wife killing the vibe at the club!

What I meant by "open her eyes" was more like make her eyes bug out, I guess. As I stated earlier, I do want contact, even moreso for her. She wants to experience it, and LV seemed to be the best place to do it, because you don't have to worry about someone local recognizing you, and the overall feeling of Sin City that allows you to be more open minded. Not that she has a problem with that. The only place we've been to around here (a neighboring state actually) was a bikini bar, and we were both bored off our asses.

We're not starting any bar tabs to do this though, that's ridiculous. And I didn't realize there were floor dances and then lap dances in the back and then VIP on top of that. To me floor dances seem lame, but that may be enough for her, who knows. Although I don't know if she'll want others watching her.

    Thanks for the reply!

Floor dances in Vegas are full-scale lapdances, unless you get a hustler trying to upsell you.

At the Rhino, they have 3 for $100 dances in a private booth where people can't really see. And you don't need a bartab for that. They also have this at Scores.

She might like Scores too actually.

Thanks Katrine. I'm realizing that floor dances are more of the norm here and maybe not as lame as I'm comparing to something like a table dance out here. The fact that you can do the 3/100 w/out drinks is cool, we'll probably try that. Only thing I don't like is that what if you find out early that you don't really want 3 dances from that girl? Then you're locked in! I guess ur supposed to get a floor dance 1st, but that's more $ spent too. I guess they do this for volume/traffic reasons so as to not waste time in a busy place.

So far I'm thinking of possibly Treasures or Scores and maybe Spearmint Rhino to see what that's like.

BTW, do these places let the guy watch his girl get a couch dance (and for no extra charge)? This is common in my area. Or what about the two of us sharing a dance? Some places here no extra charge, some double the charge.

Most dancers allow it, but YMMV. Some dancers charge double to dance for a couple, again YMMV.

Also, you may not have many dancers approach you as is. Many Vegas girls are looking to land big VIP whales and may not bother with a couple. That will likely happen to you at Spearmint Rhino, especially if its busy. You may have to grab her yourselves.

I never mind doing so as a customer, but some people want to be approached. Try a dance on the floor first. If she likes it, then do 3/100.

Also, don't completely take my word on the 3/100 because when clubs get super busy, they will make you buy drinks to go to the private areas as well (mo money, mo money).

And some dancers will "neglect" to mention this. Hell, half of them may not know themselves because they just got off the plane from Cali or wherever.

Of course, I don't think any enterprising Vegas dancer would mind staying out on the floor if the customer offers to sweeten the pot. Say...offer to pay $25 or $30/song if they aren't biting at $20. Its still cheaper than using the VIP.

I've always had good luck at Club Paradise, the girls don't ignore couples there like they do at most clubs in las vegas.

Sapphire is fun too, lots of girls to choose from.

As Katrine mentioned, your best bets are CP, Scores, Treasures or Sapphire. I would not even bother with the SR considering you're going as a couple.

As to the cabbie kickbacks, some will actually offer to take you the back entrance of Scores for zero fare, just tip them because they're getting a kickback. I haven't been in over 6-mths so not sure what's happening now though.

Keep in mind most places now have a 2-drink min in the 3-$100 rooms.

Also it appears that you're going on a weekday, so the clubs probably won't be as crowded and you might get some more attention than on the weekends as a couple.

If you go to one of the Deja-Vu clubs before 9:00 p.m., there is a coupon for free admission on Deja Vu's website. You'll still have to buy the drink pass for about $20, but you won't have to pay the cover. Here is the link: http://www.dejavu.com/img/free_admission.jpg

If you are going to several clubs and don't want to pay cab fare, have you considered renting a car?

If you arrive by cab to a strip club your cover will be a minimum of $30. ( Plus the cab fare.) I highly recommend not arriving by cab if at all possible. Many clubs offer complemtary limo pick up from any major casino, all you have to do is tip the driver. I do not think you must pay a cover if you arrive by limo, as you are taken through the back door VIP entrance.

There are't really " couch dances" in Vegas. Most dances are done right in your chair on the main floor. There are no lapdance rooms, unless you pay for VIP.

As for the 3 for 100....Some clubs charge a bartab, some don't. Spearmint Rhino does not, but Sapphire does, and the bar tab for 3 for 100 at Sapphire is $30. (2 drink minimum)

Also..Sapphire's drinks are very expensive, I believe the highest in vegas currently. However, Sapphire is a very awesome club to visit, it's cool looking, and it is the largest strip club in the world, which is neat.

    Treasure's is nice as well.

Unfortunatly, I do not share the same reviews of Club Paradise I have had the worst luck getting dances there as a couple. Actually..I've never managed to get a dance there as a couple, and we have always disappointed that no one approached us.

I have had the best luck at Spearmint Rhino as a couple getting dances. I still have issues getting approached, but I have found that simply asking a bouncer to send girls over works wonders.

Also, if your arriving here on 1/6 keep in mind that one of the largest conventions of the year is in town at that time, and most of the convention people stay for the weekend. Club cover charges and drink prices are increased during conventions, and clubs are very busy, with customers and girls. Many girls have flown in just to work the convention, and may not be very interested in doing a few lapdances on the floor when they know VIP's are waiting for them. I personally do not do lapdances during conventions. I am strictly VIP, simply because they sell just as fast, and it's a waste of time to make money $20 at a time when you can make $500 at a time. If yuo want to avoid convention people and dancers who have traveled in to work a conbvention, I suggsest a smalle strip club that doesn't see as much convention business. Penthouse is a good smaller club, it is near Mandalay Bay, and won't see as much convention business.

If your interested in the nude clubs, the cover is at least $30, possibly more, and lapdances are $30, and are all done in private rooms. Nude clubs are juice bars here.

I know you're being courteous by stating that, but I'm no dummy! I'd have taken her to places at home, but haven't for two reasons. 1st those are my outlets to hang out with my buddies, and I don't want worlds to collide. 2nd she doesn't want to bump into someone we might know locally. We've already gone to another place in the next state while on the town with another couple, and I asked her up and down if she's cool with it. I knew it would be a good 1st time place because it was just a bikini bar to break her in. But she was pretty disappointed at how tame it was. She wanted to see boobies! I don't need to go into more detail about our relationship, but we are going to the Adult Entertainment Expo in LV too. So she's cool with it all. But I would agree, its good advice for most couples, we just aren't most couples.

Yeah, I just talked to a friend that was at SR a few months ago and he agreed its not the optimal place for us (I'm sure I'd love it with my buddies though).

Thanks for the tip about Scores, but how would you know beforehand which cabbies are connected with Scores?

Just to clarify (this shows how little time I spend in actual bars) if there is a drink minimum, does that mean its gotta be alcoholic? Can I get to sodas instead?

Yeah, I forgot to mention that we'll be there during the week. HOWEVER, it is during what I think is the biggest convention of the year, CES (Consumer Electronics Show). That's approx 150 thousand geeks (not saying geek is a bad thing! ), many in need of female attention. I know this is the one time they all get to experience the strip club scene so I bet the SCs do tons of business this week. Plus, with the AE show at the end of the week, all the porn industry people and fans will be in town too (another 37 thousand perverts), and won't they partake in the SCs too?! I bet the week will be like an extended holiday weekend.

Thanks for the tip. I did think of getting a car just for this purpose, but I don't know how many places she's going to want to go to. Plus I was thinking we might go to one per night after dinner and shows. Speaking of which, I would assume these places stay open all night? Are they 24 hour?

    Hi Kaylinn (nice avatar)!

Looks like you replied while I was typing my stuff, and that you hit on some of the things I was saying/asking.

Thanks for giving some great detail, I appreciate it. Maybe we'll check out the Penthouse club. Anyone have any info on this place?

But now you mention the nude "juice clubs". I didn't realize they were categorized separately from the rest. Nude to me is always better, but I guess they get a bad rap because the don't serve drinks? Are they BYOB (they are in my area). That's why I love nude bars, the obvious, plus I don't have to worry about buying drinks or whatever. Just bring in my own Dr. Pepper or bottle of water and I'm good to go for hours!

Having said that, in all the replies I got, were nude clubs even considered? It sounds like probably not. What are some that I should be looking at? And the fact that the lapdances are private is even better!

    Thanks!

I banked at CP doing floor dances during CES. The VIPs were totally booked up, and the club was charging ridiculous bartabs to even get back there. No extra money for me. There were a ton of Japanese guys there that were ROWDY. They tipped after each song AND threw money at me while dancing. One guy just kept giving me "grass skirts" of $20 bills to keep dancing for his buddy, who was sweet, demure, and didn't even touch me.

It was great fun! Sorry for the threadjack.

The AVN convention was fun too, you will have a great time! It won't be a cheap weekend though. I will assume it isn't a huge concern if you were aware of the week you are going....

To answer more of your questions:

    1. All topless strip clubs are open 24 hours day. ( except a few tiny small ones)
    2. Nude clubs close around 6am ish
    3. Cabbies take customers to the club paying the highest, they aren't loyal or connected to certain clubs.
    4. Nude Clubs are not BYOB, alcohol is not permitted at all. You cannot take in any beverage of any kind. ( that applies for any club)
    5. Bar tab prices for VIP are set, doesn't matter if it is a diet coke, water or shot of Petron. If the tab is $100, you pay $100, weather you get shots the whole time, or 1 glass of soda, y u must pay the$100 tab. If you drink it or not.

Personally, I have a lot of fun at the nude clubs, but I prefer to drink, so usually stay at topless clubs. But as a female customer going to a club with my boyfriend, I prefer nude clubs. That's just because I like to watch, and I find the nude dances turn me on more to watch. However....some dancers will try to charge double for me to stand in the doorway and watch.

    * General tip*
If you are buying several lapdances in a row, be sure to keep count in yoru head. Do not trust the dancer to keep count, or else your gonna be paying a lot more than you actually owe. It's quite a common and dirty trick to jack up the dance count.

Thanks Ka-Ka (Kaylinn & Katrine)! OK, that was corny.

Yeah, I've heard stories about businessmen going wild while on conventions, either with their own or the company's dime. Wish I could do that!

We realize its not going to be a cheap week. We're staying in a swanky suite in one of the best resorts, but at least got a CES discount for that (oh yeah, we're going to that too). CES is free, but you pay for it in overpriced room rates. The AVN show isn't free, so that's another $150 for us for a day (nice combo huh? electronics/video games & porn! our favorite things!). We'll be seeing shows, and eating fancy dinners (when not eating at buffets!), so yeah, we're doing it up. The strip clubs are gonna be the little bit extra slash icing on the cake, and we don't plan on going crazy.

So forget the bar tabs, and VIP rooms. My hope/expectation is to spend $200-$500 total depending on how much she likes it and how many we go to. I think that is realistic mainly because I don't know how much I will actually be getting dances. I'm not sure how comfortable I (OR she) will be getting dances by myself in front of her. We're more interested in HER having some fun, since I literally can go to my SCs anytime I want at home.

I'm pretty damn sure she'd appreciate seeing as much skin as possible, so I think the nude joints might be the best. I'm getting tingly down there just envisioning my wife with a naked girl on top of her, grinding her nether regions and possibly some boobie playing back and forth (I don't know if that happens when its female on female, but it does in my visions! ). I guarantee she's gonna get wet!!!

So far all I've heard for nude clubs is Penthouse. Is that good enough or is there another place I should consider?

I know the dance count trick, I've been victim to it before, I just hope its not worse in LV. I think they should always ask "do you want another" between each dance, and if I'm not a regular at a place I ask them to do that and they're usually more than happy to. I don't know why they do that. I'm not an idiot, but if you argue then the bouncer is gonna be in your face. But if does happen, do you think I'll ever get another dance from you again? Of course not! On the flip side, I do have one favorite that gives me freebies and extended dances, so I just let her run the show and don't ask until she gives me a total at the end. But she's the exception, not the norm.

As it stands it sounds like we'll go to Treasures and Penthouse. We'll probably go on separate nights to break it up. Oh btw, we're not huge gamblers (we do some), so this is another way to justify going to the SCs, in that the money we'd spend gambling we'll spend at SCs instead.

Thanks, we're looking forward to seeing the Sin in Sin City!

Actually, I don't believe PEC is nude. The others were referring to Deja Vu clubs as being nude.

Dude I think you're right after re-reading. That's my fault. Thanks very much for pointing it out. I looked on their site and they're showing bottle service and tabs, so thanks! Also, on the Junkie forum someone said that they're closed but are re-opening on the 11th, which is when we're leaving. So I guess that's out.

Man, I'm pretty seasoned in my home area (people come to me for info!) but I feel like such a newbie here!

So are Dejay Vu and Little Darlings any good? Those were mentioned earlier.

I had a good time at Deja Vu. Stop by a convenience store ahead of time and pick up a Las Vegas Weekly or one of the many other free weekly rags, Deja Vu and Little Darlings often run ads in the back for free cover charge (although they still get you for the bottomless cup up front, $10 I think, but most of the non-alcoholic drinks are free after that, well except for the tip).

The Deja clubs look like they may fit the bill. I checked out their website....

I didn't realize Little Darlings is also a Deja Vu club. Which one is better? I'm guessing the regular DV is closer to the strip?

Is calling the place to have them send a limo to pick you up at ur hotel a good idea? (instead of a cab). How much should I tip for that, I have NO idea! Will they take us back to the hotel too?

So they have bed dances, huh? I've never done those before, I wonder if the 1st time to start is with my wife though! LOL Are they more expensive than regular private (non VIP) lapdances or ARE those the private couch dances? Sounds like the choices are floor couch dance, private bed dance, or VIP room dance.

What is the shower dance? Is that watching one (or more) girls shower together? Is there any interactivity? I've been to clubs where its $20 for the shower show and for another $10 you can be a "soaphandler" and soap up two girls' tits and asses. Best $10 I ever spent freshmen year in college!

I guess we'll never know where they went or what they did. I gotta admit I'm a bit curious to find out.

But I do have some questions about something in this thread.

Whenever I've been in Vegas, I've always driven myself. Sometimes with the traffic and strange streets, I've been frustrated. So, about the clubs sending a limo for you...

Do all the clubs do this?

Do you have to spend a minimum amount in a club to qualify for the limo ride? I bet they'd be pissed if they sent a limo and I only spent twenty bucks.

If all you have to do is tip the limo driver, how much should you tip him? I suppose you ought to save the same amount to tip the driver for the ride back, too. Do you tip him/her a set amount per ride or for each rider?

    Thanks for the info.
