Default Sorry, I ruin some customers for all other strippers.

Sometimes a customer can be so rude, condescending, dismissive, and abusive that I can't help but put him in his place. I insult them completely, shatter the delicate fantasy the club and a polite dancer creates, and I doubt they ever look at strippers the same way again.

I really need to stop doing this, because I'm sure other girls could make money off these guys.

5 vodka tonics + 1 abusive fat balding prick telling me I'm not hot enough to dance for him = one pissed off stripper.

For example, the following scenarios have happened countless times.

Me: "Hi, the waitress told us you wanted me and my friend to stop by"
Friend: "Would you like some company?"
Douchebag: "Yea, we want her (points to my friend), but not you."
    or
Me: "Hi, would you like some company?"
    Douchebag: "Sure!"
(meaningless chatter for a song or so)
Me: "Would you like me to get naked for you?"
Douchebag "Nah, I'm not interested in you"

In both scenarios, I usually have one of two reactions. #1: I'm either exceedingly patient and simply excuse myself or #2. I burn their universe and let them know that none of the girls here would ever even fart their way if it were not for the promise of money, but usually in less kind words.

I'm not a bad looking girl. Let's not hate, most strippers are really pretty. I think guys get skewed because there are SO MANY gorgeous girls in one club, they think a dance from a girl who's their idea of a 8 isn't good enough. They will only pay for a 10. They'd probably shit their pants over the 8 in real life. Their wives and girlfriends who put up with them are probably 4's, if they have anyone at all. I'm not model hot, but I'm really cute and I can say without ego that I'm often one of the funniest, most intelligent, and well spoken girls in the club. I'm often the top earner when I find someone who's looking for more than an emotionless dance from a bored girl doing her best impersonation of a fembot.

Why do guys have to say the shit they do?! Why can't they just say "No, thanks". What's so hard about that?!

I guess some think we're worthless whores, and will only tolerate pristine quality whores for their sophisticated, discriminating tastes. Work is like a dog show, with men sizing us up like we're different breeds of an animal and not humans. I half expect them to check my teeth before they let me dance around for their pleasure for a measly sum of money. It's like begging with your body.

Whatever. I put them in their place too. Either tehy'll dismiss me or the next girl may be willing to put up ith it. My hope is that they'll think twice before being rude to the next girl

Having watched a dancer drive away some tipping customers who were annoying *her* last night, let me say I agree 100% that you really should just walk away rather than let them get to you and show it. You're absolutely right that someone else can get their money, in many cases.

The only time to call out a customer is when he is physically aggressive or an actual threat; in every other case walk away and if he's truly a non-spending asshole, being ignored will get him to leave.

One girls best customer is another's nightmare.
I once got warned off a guy by a dancer, she said he was rude , gropey etc. I sat with him, did very well fionancially and we discussed travelling and music all night! It think it depends on dynamics between people.

Just try to remember that some guys get off on being rude to you JUST because you are hot. They can never get a beautiful girl irl so they come to the clubs and act like major asses.

It's really cool of you and also very considerate that you are thinking of the other dancers! BUT...
Don't beat yourself up or let anyone else beat you up about it either. The way you feel is completely normal, understandable, and only human.
I give alot of credit to the girls who can constantly let stuff roll off thier back and never get upset over rude rejection. I am not one of them, and it seems you aren't either!
One of the biggest things I bitch about is why guys cannot just say "No, Thank You"....I don't understand why there has to be some big elaboration. Or why they sometimes sit there and tell us WHY they don't want a dance. I don't care why I am not their type and I don't care to hear about it!

I actually got a guy into VIP for 2 hours the second time I saw him. The first time, he wouldn't tip me onstage until I got naked, so I told him to keep his money and go get himself some hairplugs.

Agreed. I called a guy an asshole for pulling the whole "Work for this dollar" bullshit, and he gave me a twenty my second time around.

Neither of your scenarios should call for blowing up like you did. That type of attitude DOES make dancers look crazy and messed up. Not everyone wants you. Handle your rejection with grace and learn to control your temper.

yeah, the important thing is to be "you are nothing" bitchy instead of "you really hurt my feelings" bitchy.

a lot of guys are aiming for the latter, but the former really opens up the wallets.

I've actually lost all patience with customers lately and... surprise, surprise, it's killing my money. I don't blow up; I just walk away very impolitely. But still - it doesn't look nice other customers see it and, more importantly, it ruins your mood. It really does feel better to be polite when you leave because it helps keep a mental barrier between you. Blowing up at a guy may be gratifying in a way, but ultimately just gives them room in your head that they can take up for the rest of the night. If you watch the girls who are all "Okay, then, have a good night. Give me a call over if you change your mind" and ten minutes later say "Oh my god, how about that asshole?" they'll be all "Who?.... Oh, yeah, that guy. Whatever." Your reactions and behaviour really can effect how you feel.

Ack, I dealt with a customer recently who told me exactly why he stopped buying dances a few years ago (due to a dancer laying it out for him on one of her last nights...told him how doing dances made her feel icky, how she felt about the guys buying them, blah blah. Her shit, not even indiciative of how ALL dancers feel).

Not cool. It does make a difference. Stop it.

^^^I hate this type of customer. This is the type that really pisses me off. I'm okay with the cheap douche, the cocky SOB, or the liar that says he's all spent and goes to VIP with another girl... whatever.... it's sales. But I hate the guys that sit there like they are judging a beauty pageant. They have the whole SC experience so ass backwards it's not even funny. They're also the type that assumes that the prettiest girls make the most money. Um... not hardly, idiot.

    1) if he isnt getting dances, and has such a low opinion of dancers why is he still coming?
2)is he really that stupid that he thinkls EVERY dancer is exactly the same?
    3) we arent talking about psycho dancers who citch about how they hate their jobs for no reason...we are talking about putting men who are unbelievably rude in their place.

Sorry...if a guy is disrerspectfuladn rude to me, I CANT just smile and walk away. He WILL know that hes being inappropriate and that he is pissing me off and why.I cant let it slide and still like myself. IF it interferes with someone elses money....sorry. But I'm not going to be disrespected so Tiffany can get a cpl dances and put up with Mr douchebag. If I think a SPECIFIC girl woudl be making money off him....I'll adjust accordingly. Maybe tell him to keep to her alone because she likes him SO much...that way he doesnt bother anyone else. Or at the very least...i wont have him kicked out(if hes pissed me off that much) if I KNOW someone else is banking off him.
But I still ill let him know that he WILL NOT speak to ME that way. EVER

Honey, those ugly ass guys are just taking their insecurities out on you. If you let them know they've pissed you off thats just more power to them. Just move on to someone whos worth your time instead : ). Don't let them get the better of you!

If they're just nursing the same beer for hours and enjoying a free show, or looking for hookers though - give 'em all the hell in the world! hahaha

Gotta agree. I won't be loud but I will communicate that it's not OK to be rude. I get in their head and say something tailored to their specific shortcomings. Gotta love that psychology education!

I'll be rude when it becomes clear that they're not spending any money in addition to being rude to me to start with. I try to keep it sarcastic-bitchy, though, rather than fuck-you-get-out-of-my-club-bitchy.

I used to be super-nice and graceful about everything, but I started noticing that I made more money if I showed some attitude. I guess there's a balance between that and being a ruiner, though.

On the other hand, f a guy's really that much of a jerkface, I don't mind if other girls drive him on out. There's nicer guys who will spend money.

I would be pissed if a guy told me he wasn't interested but would also be grateful that I didn't have to waste time. You shouldn't take it personally. Of course you're gorgeous, so just brush it off and forget about it.

Even though their manners suck, I think it's kinda rude to be mean to a customer just because you're not his type, imo.

Sometimes I'll try to help the customer by asking what kind of girls he likes, if I find out he's not even there to spend money then hes got it coming.
