I know this:
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2007...ss_suit-2.html
has been bandied around the forum. I emailed the journalist yesterday who put me in contact with the lawyer who's representing Francis. I told him my story and he wants to represent me, and is encouraging any other employees or ex-employees of Scores who have suffered to come forward....
It's a funny old thing. I wrote a story about Scores called 'The Slap' which talks about the love-hate relationship you have with the job, the men, the clients, the club, the managers. I loved Scores and I also hated and was repulsed by what I witnessed there (managers drugging girls, forced sex acts, prostitution, bullying, racism, extortion - multiply a regular club by a million and it's Scores). For me, it's no big deal to come forward as I doubt I'll ever work in NYC as a stripper again - I know coming forward will blacklist me forever. But for girls who still want to keep working, I guess it's easier to keep quiet, plus so many girls don't want their names splashed across the papers as a stripper for Mommy and Daddy to read. I know when I was dancing I had no intention of ever complaining publicly about a club. An anonymous article in the NY Times was enough to get me fired from FlashDancers and threatened at Rick's Cabaret by some skinny-ass Russian Ho.
Anyway, thought I'd put that out there. If you've worked in Scores and suffered as a result message me.... and please, no smartass bitch-sniping. I'm over that. Don't you think 'civilians' throw enough shit at us as it is?
