K and I are doing a three-day juice fast, starting today. We have a great little juicer and bought a ton of fruits and veggies this morning to put through it. Neither of us has ever done this before!
For breakfast we drank a carrot-apple-mango-ginger mix and it was delicious. For lunch I just ran a ton of stuff through the juicer - carrot, tomatoes, parsley, garlic, a chili pepper, spinach, celery, an apple just for the hell of it - and then mixed it with boiling water to make a hot soup. It's okay, a little too spicy (I should've used half a pepper) but at least I'm sipping it slowly so it'll last awhile.
Anyone have any other recipes? We got some beets and cabbage but I can't think what to put them with. Can't imagine cabbage juice would be very tasty, but I bet it cleans you out...
