This may be a silly question, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere else. Does your club consider it a "conflict of interest" if you work at more than one? I live in Va. and was wondering if any of the clubs had this rule.

In my city the only way you could dance at mulitple clubs is if they are sister clubs. If you try to 'branch out', you'll get fired, and in more than one club, there's a hefty fine if you want to return. I was quoted $800 by a manager once. You need to discuss the policy with your club management so you don't burn any bridges.
Some clubs do, though I am not familiar with Va clubs. I do not work at clubs who have a "conflict of interest" policy. I'm an independent contractor, I do not believe in "no competition" clauses in dancing. Though a few years back I worked at a club where the owner believed that since the girls were his commodity to sell, he should have exclusive merchandise (dancers). Therefore, no dancing at other clubs for an hour radius. I left, he is nuttier than squirrel shit.

I have worked in a club that would fire you for working somewhere other than there. At the time it didn't bother me, because it was the best club for 100 miles, but since I'm used to being in a new club on a regular basis, it would probably bug me now.
that fucker probably wanted to pocket your money.

I really doubt my club has this policy; I've openly discussed trying other clubs with the house mom and nobody's said anything to me about it. Which rocks--I agree, as independent contractors, somebody better be paying me extra to stay faithful to one club!

It drives me insane because that's the way it should be. We are independent, and we PAY THEM to work, so I don't know why they think they can give us so many rules, etc.Like, why should they care if I'm hanging out in the dressing room or on my cell phone in the bathroom? As long as I'm not missing stage, I don't see why it matters. I'm fucking with my own money, not theirs. Whatever.

Richmond VA clubs don't care if you work at more than one club, except for Paper Moon. They'll fine you if you work anywhere else in the city. There are a lot of girls that work at different clubs.

While dancing in SF I always bounced between at least 2 clubs at a time. Never had a problem.

You'll get fired in a heartbeat for working at multiple clubs in my city. The managers actually send out scouts to other clubs to see if their girls are working anywhere else... like damn pimps.

In my experience in this area, some clubs want you to avoid working at other places, but most are ok with it as long as you do the following
a) Don't talk it up to other customers
b) Don't try to recruit other dancers over to any of the other clubs
And then there are the clubs that cater more to travelling dancers and don't care at all.

Beyond the whole independent contractor thing (which I completely agree with btw) ... a good trick is to just dance under different names at different clubs. Not foolproof, but a good way to avoid drama. A lot of girls do this. My club doesn't mind if girls work elsewhere, but there's a few clubs around here that will call and pose as a potential customer to see if their girls are working there. Don't tell anyone you're going to a different club. Just go, and if you decide to juggle both it's no one's business.
My club is pretty strict about it. They don't mind if we dance somewhere else very very far away (like Vegas or something), but they're pretty hardcore about it anyway. They just fired this freaking gorgeous girl for working dayshift at another club in the city.
I've known of a few girls who work at other clubs, but its seriously kept secret.......Wonder if they'd fire me if I decided to work in North NJ a couple nights a week, like 2 hours away from work
