I had given the link about his condition and how much the surgery was going to be and how he raised the money and he got it done. Here is the facebook album of the surgery

Can you summarize the results por favor? I'm glad to see that he's apparently doing well but I don't understand enough to really make sense of how it all went.
Oh I will as soon as I get my kids to bed, we are having a chase the toddler and try to put a diaper on and convince the 5 yr old to pick up the toys from all over the house moment. Yay motherhood, I hear legos being tossed so gtg!
Is that the surgery where they cut between the frontal lobes of the brain?
The father of one of my students had that done a few years ago, and it was like a miracle. All the symptoms and pain disappeared.
I'm glad it worked for your friend. too.
My child is still up! oh and sorry for misspelling Parkinson. Yeah Mike it was that. While in High School he would shake and limp and people made fun of him. He was and still is the sweetest person ever and I would get so mad! They called him limpy, he said he didn't mind but he was just being nice.
He had a DBS implanted in to his brain. Here is the site of what that is.
Activa DBS is a surgical treatment that has been proven to reduce some of the symptoms associated with PD. In one major study, Activa DBS was shown to increase periods of good mobility (no symptoms or involuntary excessive movements) from 27% to 74% of a patient's waking day.1 In another study, Activa DBS maintained motor symptom improvements even after five years.2
I will come back but I have a really difficult 2 yr old, hell aren't they all difficult at 2?
My grandmother had this surgery done and helped her tremendously. Her sister also has Parkinson's and also had the surgery, but it didn't help her at all.
Your friend is in my prayers.

Yay fo r my kid finally falling asleep!
Ok well I got an update that the surgery went well but it was weeks ago, a few days after this surgery which was the 22nd of December but I have tried contacting him, I think a lot of people are and it's hard for him to get back to all but I hope he is well. I have to see if he's still in NY cause I would love to visit. I went to PR and he came to the states at the same times so we missed each other.
