Re: new to this...
The first time going on stage is always nerve-raking. The second time I was on stage it was easier, the third time was even easier and so on. That same night I was actually looking forward to going on stage because I knew that's where the $$ was! I know what you mean about not being the "best" dancer, I had no idea what I was doing when I went up there. Once you're more comfortable, your body just takes over and you'll know what to do
. I feel that the best way to find your own routine is to just keep at it; it'll come to you, trust me. Don't give up!

Re: new to this...
I would do a lot of floor work, slow movements eye contact etc. Practice at home and try to look confident.

Re: new to this...
I feel ya, we've all been there.
First and most important thing: SLOOOOOOW DOOOOOOOWN! For real, take it down to half-speed- it looks sexier, your moves will last longer, and you won't wear yourself out.
As for moves, ideally just have a sit and watch some other girls dance, because that's actually a lot easier than trying to explain in words. Or, since you have internet obviously, go Tube'n, start here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qx29UxrA8rI and hey it's LiLo, not bad lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMlCLiknJQs
