    Default Instead Cup and Sex

I did a search for Instead Cup-related posts, and came up with nothing.

Who has used the Instead Cup and had sex with it inserted? Did you leak? Does it feel weird? Can you still have raunchy, ass-slapping, aggressive sex without it popping out and flying across the room like a frisbee, spattering blood everywhere (sorry)? And is it only appropriate for women with light periods?

    Thanks!

I've had sex with an instead in. It didn't bother me at all. It didn't leak and it didn't come out and we were going at it pretty hot and heavy. However about half way through my husband stopped and asked if I could take it out because he said it felt REALLY weird and he didn't like it all haha. So while it worked for me...it DID not make my hubby too happy.

I tried those before, and it didn't seem to be all that out of the way. It was not that far in there and I thought he would probably feel it were we to have sex. I have a really heavy period, and they did not work at all until the last day when it was lighter. It would fill up too fast and leak.

I've done this...doesn't bother me, but the guy can feel it. In certain positions I could feel him poking the side of it too.

Have you tried a piece of sea sponge? Or even a regular contraceptive sponge? Both will keep the blood off his weiner, and are almost undetectable..

I have used the Instead during sex and it works well for me- no leaking, the male doesn't complain and it seems to not get shifted around (& my man has a huge penis so this makes the Instead cup an engineering marvel. He also treats sex like an Ultimate Fighting Championship round & the cup has never become dislodged.)

This may not be the case for women with irregularly shaped cervixes and/or tipped uteruses.

If you are trying to staunch a heavy period, douche and wipe your vaginal canal with a sterile white washcloth until it washes clean, then put in the Instead cup

I never thought about it, i mean it's sits so low down and wouldn't the end bit be annoying for a guy? I dunno, I'm no help to the OP, sorry.
Is the instead cup the same as the moon cup?

No, different. The instead cup is like a nuva ring with saran wrap on it (sort of).

I had sex with a moon cup (keeper, actually) in once. We were drunk and...neither of us noticed

OK, I don't know what a nuva ring or saran wrap is but I googled it :-)
I guess you'd have to cut the stem right off and like, file it down cos that could be really painful for a guy, i'd think, i dunno, i've never been a guy.

I have sex w/ my instead in pretty frequently. Guys don't comment on it too much. Sponges are top notch for fucking in la mer rouge, though.

I had a boyfriend when I first starting using them that loved them. No leaking, mess, problems, nothing... It was pretty great.

But my current boyfriend doesn't like them at all. We can have sex maybe once that week, but that's a maybe. Apparently they hurt his penis.

So I guess every girl / guy combo is different. Just tell him about it and get his feedback, you won't know if he will mind it or not until you ask!

I'm interested in trying this, does it protect against stds or just pregnancy?

The instead cup doesn't protect against either - it is not birth control, it's just blood control.
