Default Oh, oh - I've picked my crush for this semester

I have this professor this semester - I already love him. He keeps getting distracted during his lecture and talking about stuff that has nothing to do with tax. "I think the average fourth grader could work this out... maybe a fifth grader? Is that show called "Are you smarter than a fourth grader or a fifth grader?" I watched that recently - I was very impressed with it. I think some of those fifth graders could beat me... although I think they are getting some exceptional fifth graders. I don't think the average fifth grader is smarter than me. And they are apparently not getting elite non-fifth graders to compete against them...."
Then later, our of nowhwere: "I'm very concerned with that clock. It's tilted and it's several minutes off. I don't know how it got that way. Presumably when they mounted the clock the mounted it square... although it isn't really a square clock. Maybe when they adjusted it for daylight savings time they thought it would be funny to tilt it."

    That's really funny.

After a whole semester of going off topic though I would probably feel like throwing that clock at him.

Oh yeah - he just went on about the distribution of pain and said he was told that "there is no such thing as pain - only discomfort. That seems kind of like an empty rhetorical device, but it's actually quite useful for running long distances... Actually... you know, I'm so tempted, but we have a lot to cover."

Plus he's bald. I have a bizarre things for guys that shave their heads. I don't know why.

You know, I've learned not to say "never" - but it seems very unlikely. I don't actually have any classes with him this semester (I don't think); other guys can sit next to me and there is nothing he can do about it.

You're exhuming an interest in returning to college that I thought was long since decomposed. I miss the brainy pervables.

Aren't they? I'm taking two classes with my prof crush this upcoming semester. He reminds me of Indiana Jones.

Well, FBR. A guy who is like, way smarter than me, in a position of authority and is easily distracted by random musings? Even without the shaven head, he might as well have my name on him. He's married, in any case - so, alas. No chance of improving my grade through random sexual favours.

Jenny, i'm legitimately shocked, here. A guy lives up to your standards?

Next you'll be telling me that your blood rises above 32 degrees.

It's just that he's more than a chapter ahead of Jenny, I'm sure. I've got no chance even if I shave my head.

Well UM - he sort of wrote the textbook; I'm pretty sure he's more than a chapter ahead - I told you. One chapter ahead and you would be mulched by the students in my school. Not meanly - it's just you could not competently teach at my school being one chapter ahead.

Heh. Today we got: "The genie could not be omnipotent; the genie must be released from the lamp through rubbing. But maybe... could an all powerful genie create a lamp so powerful that it could contain him, necessitating him to be rubbed out?"
