Default how to fix sticky soled shoes?

So I got these new shoes, wore them once on stage and was stuck to the floor I noticed that, unlike my other shoes with smooth bottoms, my new ones have rubber with ridges.

How can I smooth them out?

Take them to a shoe repair place, or just wear them somewhere rough

You can probably peel the rubber off. I know because mine is always falling off. I like the rubber for traction though. For girls that like the rubber, if it starts falling off and you don't have superglue with you, you can use nail glue in a pinch.

I always got a big rock and rubbed the bottom of my shoes. We had a gravel parking lot.

I've worn a couple of pairs with random sticky bottoms... really f'ed up my mojo on stage. They get better after a few nights of wearing them though. The first night in the rubber soles is horrible though if you're used to the smooth bottoms.

    thanks for the ideas, girls

I actually found another thread that mentioned covering the bottoms with duct tape...so I got out some black electrical tape and it seems to have fixed them! I haven't tried them out at work yet, but they slide around fine on my hardwood floor at home.
