will my navel and nose piercings leave scars if i remove them? They're both perfectly healed. My navel I've had for 6+ years, my nose for 11 months.

Your belly button piercing will leave a scar. The nose ring I'm not sure about.
I believe you Dottie and you have my support

I've had my belly ring out now for 3 years, but I'd had it in for 8. It isn't scarred, but it never closed up, meaning I can still put jewelry in if I want. But I don't consider that a 'scar'.
I have scars where my nostril rings used to be, and also two where I had my snakebites. My nipples are also scarred from piercing.
I recently removed my nose and nipple piercings, and here's what i have going on.
Nose: is still pierced. This irritates me because when I put on makeup, I have to take a toothpick and get a little bit of concealer inside the surface of the hole, otherwise it looks like a tiny, dark pit and is (to me) very conspicuous. I've considered putting my jewelry back in, but I'm kind of over having a pierced face. Anyway, that might not happen to you, as yours is pretty new. I had mine pierced for like 7 years, so I think the hole is permanent.
Nipples: Okay, TMI warning, but you'll probably want to read for relevancy's sake. So you know how fleshier piercings tend to get gooey sometimes, with whitish gunk that kind of reeks? (I had my navel done briefly, and it happened to that piercing, so I think it's an equal opportunity phenomenon, nipples/navel/earlobes/et al.) That stuff- which I think is just sebum, dead skin that sloughs off and decomposes- now gets trapped inside the fistula (healed passage) of my nipple piercings, since I don't have the rings to soap up and move around and dislodge it. So what this means is I've been sticking a higher-gauge piece of jewelry into my nipples once a week or so to remove this goo. I have no idea if I'll have to keep doing this for the rest of my life (or risk having smelly-ass titties, ew), or if my fistulas will stop getting gunky at some point. Anyway, this might happen to your navel piercing once you take your jewelry out, so you might have to thread something through the hole once in while to clean it. Just warning you.
Drought was over. Where was I? Drinks were on the house.
For mixers, my love, you'd poured--what?--even the rain.

Depends, really. If they healed well without incident, it will probably look like a large pore. It also has a lot to do on how well your body heals up. Your navel will most likely have a scar.

My navel is scarred really badly. It's like a lump of reddish scar tissue that never seems to fade.

hahaha. just to let you know, i've had my nipple rings out for a few years now...and i still occasionally clean the holes out. but it's not goopy stuff, not stinky, just white. not a huge deal but yeahh...it's kinda weird. i can still put jewelry through my nipples too and if you look close you can see the holes, but it's not too noticeable.

Teeth,
I get the same thing with my nips. They've been pierced for a while. Just clean it off the bars with a paper towel wet with warm water. And it is a mixture of dead skin and sebum. Everyone I know with pierced nips has this. As far as I know, it doesn't stop. It's a bodily cleansing method.
ok. Well I took my navel jewelry out. hopefully it doesn't scar so bad.
I'm afraid to take my nose jewelry out..... it's accidently gotten yanked a few times and that hurts! I'mma have someone else do it.... or be brave....
I've had my navel out for over a year now and there is still a scar. I guess it will be there forever, but it is way less noticeable now.
When my navel piercing was rejected the first two times, there was a scar. Now I got it pierced again, the scar is still there but barely noticeable.
My belly ring scar looks like you could stick jewelry in it, hole is larger than the ones on my ears, but it's closed up. I think it's b/c i had it pierced 2 different times, my holes close up pretty quick, even after years of using them.. I have to repop the holes in my ears all the time.
