    Default Dallas Girls

Hey! I'm going to be auditioning at some places in Dallas within the next week, so I'm still a wanna-be right now...but I just wanted to get in touch with other girls who live/work in Dallas. Just wanted to say hi, and was curious at what clubs y'all work at! My first choices to audition at are Silver City and Cabaret Royale. I look forward to chattin' it up with y'all!

Throwing some good luck your way. I work in Dallas via commute. I hope you have a blast and maybe we'll cross paths one day. I dance at a couple of clubs: Baby Dolls, Dallas Gentlemens Club, and the Men's Club.

I'll probably be working in Dallas soon as well. Do any Dallas clubs make you actually audition or is it like Austin where you just show up looking hot and you're hired? What's the policy on skipping stages?

Is Baby Dolls a club where you can just 'wanna dance' custys all night?

You have my nomination for dancer with the most diversity. You can work anywhere.

Baby Dolls - Blue collar style with 1 rap song if any played per night. High contact more dance then conversation.

DGC - shaka club. If you can shake it, you can make it.

Men's Club - good conversation can make money here. Rollers with white collars instead of blue.

Congrats to you. I guess in the end, the money is still green in all three places.

Baby Dolls and Men's club will just hire you if you are hot. Must audition at the Lodge and not sure about the others.

Baby Dolls is very much a "wanna dance" club, they have quantity not quality when it comes to customers, although there are exceptions.

The above is true if you're white. In case you're not then be as sexxied up as possible and don't eat before you go to be as thin as possible. Also, try to get a friend on the inside to help you in.

Thanks for the comp GuyPOV and Buffie06. As for the comment on having to be white to be" hired on the spot" it's not true. No disrepect intended Optimist, but I'm an African American chick with curves and I went to the club alone. I just know how to rock both sides of the spectrum. It's all about attitude and presentation which I'm sure you already know.

I've shopped nearly every club in town, and danced at the Lodge, BD's, and Men's Club; also Spearmint Rhino pending, they just opened.

Before I recommend for ya, gotta ask- what's your experience, what do you look like, and what are you looking for?

Well, I have no experience as of yet; I have been practicing at home if that counts for anything I've got a good body, I don't have a beauty queen face but it's not horrible either...

The few places I've checked out so far-Silver City, Cabaret Royale, Executive Men's Club [i think that's what it's called?], I KNOW I already have better dance skills than quite a few of the girls I've seen, so I don't think I will make a complete fool of myself.

Also at all three places, there were girls who aren't exactly the beauty queen type either, so I think I'll be ok? I'm calling places for auditions tomorrow, I have had school stuff amongst other things to deal with today...

Alrighty then, you're totally new, so I'm not surprised you're not sure exactly what you're looking for. But hopefully you'll know it when you see it ;] You get to go shopping m'dear, let's start here and narrow it down: http://www.tuscl.com/maplist.php?Str...las&SRCHDEST=5

First off, 2 kinds of clubs- topless and nude. For someone just starting I'd highly recommend topless, so put Jaguar's and Cabaret Royale/Fare and the like at the bottom of your list (FYI most don't actually *require* nudity, but if you're not up to it you'll have a hard time competing).

Second, quality or quantity? That is, would you prefer to work fewer patrons for large amounts, or more patrons for modest amounts? Also consider your style here- quality leans towards cocktail dresses and gowns, whereas quantity prefers skimpier attire. For a noob I'd recommend quantity for two reasons; A) startup costs (your outfit) will be less expensive, and B) no matter what you look like, quality clubs are less likely to hire inexperienced dancers. So, the Lodge and Men's Club also to the bottom of the list for now. Ditto the Rhino, though I'm still unsure how to categorize them, ATM just b/c they're a big name and flooded with girls.

Which leaves you with everything else, still plenty to choose from, so at this point just start with whatever's closest to you and work outwards. Call or go in person (with your outfit, just in case) and find out their policies on:

Scheduling- most clubs have mandatory shifts, as in 'you must work X shift(s) to work any other shift.
Housefees- the fee you pay to the club to work there, based on what time you come in.
Tipouts- the tip you're expected/required to pay to certain staff at the end of the night.
Funny Money exchange rate- clubs provide it to accomodate patrons using credit cards, but they'll take a cut when you redeem it.
Stages- how many stages, how many songs each, and (if you care) do they have poles.
    Amenities- lockers, security, ect.

With that info in hand, factor in the huge variable that is your life and decide which club is best overall for you, get hired there, and then... the REAL work begins lol

Those are good thoughts, thanks! I will take a look at the tuscl.com list and see what would be closest to me. Besides that, I might feel a little less intimidated by starting smaller. Are there any "lower quality" clubs that you would recommend?

Welllll... Silver City comes to mind- it's a decent club, some girls there wear longer dresses/pantsuits, and they're not crazy huge like BD's. Also, my roomie raves about Lady Luck- apparently they got remodeled recently and it's medium sized too, but when she went a month or two ago it wasn't very busy so she didn't stay. I've seen their ads around in the meantime thought so they might be good if they've got their traffic back up.

Hope that helps, keep us updated!

First of all Cabaret Royale is NOT nude it’s a topless bar and second of all, all the nude bars are very strict about you going full nude. Most will fire you only after a first warning has been given out. Jaguar’s however was still being built last time I was in Dallas so I can comment on them personally, but I have had friends dance there and they all said they did not like it.

My last experience working in Dallas was 2 years ago so things may have changed.

Has the violent crime and murder rate at Silver city dropped in the last 2 years?

I'm aware Cabaret Royale technically isn't nude, BUT, they do have a nude section called Fare, so in reality both topless and nude are available at the same facility. Their own website even advertises as such actually: 'The Best Topless / Fully Nude Adult Strip Club' Anyway, are you recommending that Cort learn the ropes there, or did you just feel like nit-picking?

As for Silver City 2 years ago to now, couldn't say, but I can say that I wasn't assaulted nor killed when I went there as a patron a couple months ago. Actually I had a good time, felt comfortable enough to drink, and the place was busy.

Just nit-picking, but they are 2 separate clubs it’s not like you get into one and can go back and forth between them. They are only connected on the inside by the kitchen and management offices.

Yeah I don’t know about the last 2 years, but I do know there have been several dancers raped there, 2 customers killed INSIDE the club and a few killed in the parking lot and one of the managers was gutted inside the bar.

Yikes! I was going to try Silver City, I went there a few weeks ago as a customer, had a good time; it seemed pretty chill. but wow, that is definitely stuff to be worried about. Hmm, I'll try Cabaret Royale instead...A few customers at the place I worked at the other day (Lipstick Cabaret) said I should be working at somewhere like CR or Silver City or the Lodge, so that made me feel good.

Oh yeah, I haven't gone by there, I was planning on it, but maybe y'all can tell me-- On the tusl.com map, there was another SC on a totally different street than CR called "Fare" something..or maybe just Fare. Does that still exist? Just curious since there is the Fare room part of CR...didn't know if they were related somehow.

To follow up a little bit on NakedMaegan's comments on Silver City. It hasn't been bad since 2006, when one of the managers was put in prison. Long story but Silver City got away with a lot of crime because it was owned by one of Highland Park's elites. From 2001 to 2006, it was the king of crime.

As for the Lodge it is a safe club on the inside, it is located next to two clubs that are known for their gun play outside. It's not the Lodge's fault and nothing they can do about it. If you work there just don't eat in the area and make sure you have gas before you drive to work.

Holy crap. I was just at Silver City as a customer this month. I had no idea it was such a scary place. It seemed pretty nice inside, the girls were just average though, the clientele all looked normal but very few spenders....

I really WANT to believe that Silver City is not as bad now as previously mentioned, I really liked their set up and the atmosphere and was really hoping to work there....but I don't want to get shanked either...

Sounds like its cleaned up then, that’s good because it really is a nice looking club and in a good location.

You talking about DGC and that Mexican dance club located in the warehouse type building? I remember back in 05 I had a cop friend tell me that the cops were not allowed to go to the Mexican club unless they had backup.

sometimes. you could be light skinned or beyonce-looking, which means you'd fall under the 'right' kind of black dancer to be hired on the spot. or maybe you just got lucky, who knows-- sometimes black dancers are hired on the spot-- it is just far less common than for white/asian/hispanic dancers.

presentation and attitude are important, but don't sit there and pretend it's always the dancer's fault if a club manager is prejudiced in hiring. it is sometimes simply bias, and not a lacking in 'attitude and presentation'.
