I got a real job! It's cool -- I handle the publicity and marketing for a fashion company in this city. It's just me... the company is comprised of the owner, the sewer, the pattern maker, the intern, and me. It's challenging, I'm learning a lot, and I have a lot of responsibility.
However, it's 15 hours a week. That is, 3 half-days.
I think I need to go back to dancing. I thought I could either a) get a second job I recently interviewed for -- but did not get or b) work with a temp agency here in Portland.
However, especially since I'm only doing half-days, I can't really get enough office hours.
My main options, I think, are to
a) go back to dancing day shifts at my old club -- a decent suggestion. I really like the club itself, and I figure it's just as slow/busy as any other club in town
b) cocktail waitress at that club. I'm not sure if that's a good idea, though. I'd want to just work the opening/day shifts, and if that's (slightly above) minimum wage + tips, would that be decent money?
c) go work at another club with a day shift. where would be okay? the acrop? dolphin ii?
Any way I do it, I'd want to work only 3 shifts/maximum a week.
Ideas? Suggestions?
