    Default Self-tanner causing rash?

Has anyone experienced a rash from using self tanner? I've been using Loreal Sublime bronze for awhile now, but have never kept it on for longer than 9 hours at a time. The other day, I put some over my whole body, kept it on all day, put some extra over my stomach and slept in it overnight. Today after work, I noticed an itchy rash over the left side of my stomach. I'm guessing it's b/c of the tanner...most likely due to the length of time I left it on?

I only had a reaction to a new one that I used -- used it once, got a rash, never again used it (Banana Boat, I think). It is possible that you developed a sensitivity to the tanner, though I doubt that has anything to do with the length of time it was on. I would think if it was from the lotion, the effects would show up within a few hours, not overnight. Has anyone else experienced that delayed a reaction? For me it was within three hours.

I noticed that I got a reaction to a specific brand from Bath and Body Works, but not others. I think it must be one of the added ingredients, not the DHA.

I think it's the added ingredients too.

I've also had a rash with certain brands and I find that it doesn't show immediately, but turns up after a few uses, like once it builds up a bit on my skin. A few of my friends have also all reacted to a certain, cheaper brand of fake tan.
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
