Ordering my new Platinum Spinny Pole! Weeee!

I miss dancing SO much. I'm having withdrawls. I had the stationary poles before, but since I've moved into a new house they were too short for the ceiling anyways. So I'm upgrading to a permanently installed chrome spinny pole. It'll have the stationary postition too, which is cool. 8 ft. 3 in. tall and a little skinnier than your average pole. 1.75 dia instead of the standard 2 in.

Has anyone ever worked on the skinnier poles? How do you like them in comparison to the thicker ones? I have small hands so I figured the grip would be much better.

    Congrats hun...you will love it!

The skinny will only make a difference on iverted leg or thigh holds...as there is less pole to grasp!

While the grip is better, there are also down sides..but really, not that many!

    Enjoy!

Ya..don't know (kinda drunk)...but I am excited for you! I just had a girl about 7 weeks ago and I thought I would never dance again, but I can't wait to get back! lol. I tried breastfeeding and couldn't produce enough milk. I was devastated. Let me know how the skinnier pole works out!

Uh oh. Can I still learn how to do inverted leg and thigh holds on this skinny pole? I really wanted to practice those!

It came yesterday! It didn't fit in my bar room the way it was supposed to, but my roomie is awesome when it comes to handyman shit so he made it work! AND crawled into the ceiling space (he is not a small guy either) to reinforce it cause he doesn't want the thing to come tubling down and me to hurt myself. I think it's the sweetest thing ever, LoL.

Thanks Alena! I'll try to be careful, I am sort of clutzy esp. since I haven't danced in almost 9 months now. Once I feel I'm back up to par I'll try posting some videos.

i have the skinny pole in my studio. i don't like it personally, but many of my students do. but i'm just soooo used to the 2" ones, and like alena said, not as easy for leg hanging, lol

it's perfect though for girls with petite hands and those with weaker hand grips.

I have very petite hands which is why I bought the skinnier one. So I'm hoping it'll be easier to get back into practice with it. Hopefully the transition to a 2 in. won't be a problem if I go back to a club someday.
