I've never had it before, but if you wear those tight shorts, like spandex but more cotton feeling (and then normal shorts over so it doesn't look so revealing) it should bind each thigh enough to stop or at least help the problem.
Theres also anti-chaffing stuff you can put on there. But I have no idea about what to do with the open boils you have now..hope it clears up fast!!

Have you gone to the doctor? I've never had what you call "fat-girl bumps" and I weigh more than you.
What do they look like?

I've had bumps, like heat rash, mostly from a tights/thigh rubbage combo, but they don't bleed! You might want to go to the doctor in case it's infected ingrowns.

Aren't you in school? You could go to the clinic on campus

Ok, for the love of God, wear spandex tights or capris!! If you continue this, the chaffing burns will never go away. Even skinny runners who wear cotton-like shorts that bunch up will get these. Also, buy some bodyglide. It's big among cyclists, runners, and triathletes.

That does look like an icky ingrown or heat rash.
They might be whats called a boil(s). I suggest seeing a doctor or if you cannot afford it there are clinics out there that charge little to nothing according to your financial ability. Good luck!

I do think it's urgent...sorry but I'm a natural born worry-er

if you're into alternative health type stuff, I find that oregano oil (you can get little capsules) are the strongest natural antibiotic I've seen for skin stuff. I would get some oregano oil capsules at wholefoods or wherever for about $14, and then put the oil on the bumps as much as you can over the next few days.
however, that's me. something that seems clear to me is:
1. you should take a little time off of work
2. take the suggestions that people said about gym clothes and body glide
3. try to air that shit out
and,
4. go to the doctor because this could be staph, which could and does kill.
if you possitively feel like you can't go to the clinic (I understand, because on top of that $80 will be medicine as well) go to curezone.com and ask around.
if it was me, I'd be doing epsom salt baths a few times a day, taking a chill pill on working and working out, slathering oregano oil on when I'm at home and coconut oil on it when I'm out and about (oregano oil can stain clothes. coconut oil is an anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-bacteria.)
If this is staph, the hot water of the baths should naturally draw the pus out (and if you see it coming up, push on skin around boil gently to get the crap out.)
you will need to wash and sanitize your clothes and bedding because if this is staph, it can reoccur after contact with stuff that has had contact with staph. Also-- if you absolutely HAVE to work, and you're in the bathtub, make sure you drain the tub and start a shower-- then scrub and THEN shave. if you shave in the water that this stuff is draining out of, you'll likely find more "boils."
but then, that's if it's staph.
Looks like it could be staph. I'm a worrier, though, and I've also had staph. If you haven't already, you should seek medical attention immediately!!
I have big thighs that rub together and I have never experienced this type of rash.
that looks like staph to me....
i'd try to put some hydrocrotizone cream on it, keep it clean and dry. and i'd maybe stop the gym until it clears up, cuz sweat and moisture will just irratate it more. and wearing tight fitting pants or shorts causes boils and ingrown hairs. so i'd wear loose fitting cotton until it clears up.
so here's what i'd do right away if you can't go to a doc...
-bath with and don't shave that area...
-pat dry the area when drying off...
-put hydrocrotizone cream to the affected area (dont' rub it in, let it sit on top)
-add it to the area 3 times a day...
if it doesn't start to clear up i'd definately go to the doctors...might be a staph, or infected ingrown.

Looks like boils
I had stapth before but that looks like more of a surface wound
I'd have to disagree. However, if she doesn't have experience with alternative meds then it's easiest and least risky to get antibiotics.
also-- it depends on the strain of staph-- that's why the doctor is pretty important, and I would agree with everyone here. If you have the most potent strain, you could die in a couple days. Extreme, but it happened to my friend's beer buddy two years back. (Let me emphasize this again: GUY CATCHES STAPH. THREE DAYS LATER DEAD FROM STAPH. It didn't even look that bad from what my friend said. the pus just was super potent and traveled quickly to parts where it shouldn't have.)
However, you can treat staph holistically and not have it come back (at least, if you wash all your clothes, bedding, and sanitize your living space) unless you catch a different batch from someone else.
For me, the trick to knowing if it's staph or not (unfortunately, dumbass ex #2 had a skin condition that made him especially vulnerable to staph so I got it too) is hot hot water. Heating pads will make it worse so do NOT do this! Hot water draws the bacteria up to the surface and pus will ooze out.
Zits and ingrown hairs don't ooze like a staph infection. It's kind of fascinating in a sick way. (make sure to scrub the tub like a banshee before taking another bath.)
I know it may NOT be staph, but it very well could. I had a small hole like that after I pushed a bunch of crud out-- and I'm kind of worried that these thing burst on their own at all.
Then again, it could be something really innocent like an allergic reaction to a new laundry detergent that's exacerbated by the friction.

My college roomate got those when she gained some weight. She weighed a lot more than you, so I'm not sure if it is the same thing. Anyway she used hydrocortisone cream and lotion with AHA. I'm not really sure how much they helped though.
As a fat girl who loves wearing skirts, I can say that rubbing deodorant over the whole area can reduce the painful friction and make thighs slide more. I use teen spirit sticks, and put on a crapload. Not to mention that if anyone tries to lick you, they'll get the nasty feeling of deodorant on the tongue! (weird tingling numb feeling)
^does that glow in black light? I want to try that on my chest as an anti-lick tool.

Sorry to be a shit, Jasmine, because it's nothing personal, but I just want to make sure the OP knows this: don't ever put hydrocortisone on an open wound. It is a a growth agent and will encourage any bacteria present in the wound to flourish. This is quadruply true for staph. Hydrocortisone could, like, make it eat your leg or something.
Drought was over. Where was I? Drinks were on the house.
For mixers, my love, you'd poured--what?--even the rain.
I think what you are talking about is Boils. Actually alot of dancers get them and they could be from gaining weight. But they are usually formed b/c you are rolling around on the stage (which we can All agree on is dirty from our shoes) and the dirt gets on your skin. If your tighs rub together then the dirt is just getting rubbed into your skin which can cause a boil. I had them all over my ass when I first started dancing. I'm not heavy either, but I was getting them in the crease of my butt when the dirt could get in and not out. I started putting alcohol on them every time I got of stage and that helped but they wouldn't go away completely. So I just socked in a hot bath and got them to come to a head and poped them. They all went away and I never got them again. you could try that. Just be careful b/c I could leave scars if you aren't careful. Anyways I would try and go to a Doctor. It's better than being missurable. Try picking up an extra shift just for the money to go see an Doc or something.
