    Default Vladimir Dracula

was so punitive, he left a gold cup in the middle of the street. When he returned to pick it up the next day no one had touched it because people were so afraid to commit crimes during his reign. His nickname was "the impaler" but he used various other means of torture. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vlad_III_Dracula -Alleged Atrocities (I'm warning you, its pretty nasty.)

I saw a documentary about his castle on the history channel... I was most shocked by the sheer number of people he tortured and murdered. His <ahem> "head count" is approximately forty THOUSAND.

The rumor is his enemies the Turks seered his eyes and buried him alive when they captured him, but when the returned the next day the body was gone. Aided by peasants he escaped into the Transylvanian Alps and lived for many years more. That is the legend of Count Dracula.

Oh yeah...I find the history of Dracula to be extremely interesting. Some people don't believe me when I tell them that he was actually a real person.

He was a tyrant indeed. And very real. That (i believe) is how the sucking of blood stuff came around, him killing many many thousands of people for shits and giggles it seemed.

A girl I used to be best friends with is from Romania. She told me all about Vlad and the stories she was told as a child, including trips through Transylvania and seeing his castle. And I find her stories much more intriguing than what I see in film because it seems more authentic coming from her than Hollywood. Although the whole 'vampire' thing has been stretched way out of proportion (his being one, anyways), he really does have a fascinating, bloody history.

I dont want to discourage your belief in the church.

He was working for the catholic church. He will go out and protect people, and fight for the greater good. One day he went on a mission. The same people that was in this order. That suppose to be fighting for the greater good. Kill his wife, because they thought she got in the way of him doing his work. She was sick and he wanted to stay home with her. Than they refuse to give her, the last rite. They claim she kill herself, but she was truely murder. By the people who sent him on his missions. So when he found out the truth. He vowel to kill all those people, and thier whole family line. He scarfice his life, and believe in the good these people claim do! Than they took his wife and kill her and lied saying she commited sucide. Than refuse to to give her last rites. Which ment her soul was to be toture in hell. She was not allow to be buried in the catholic church grave yard. He fought and spent most of his time. Fighting for thier reason. Than they turn around and kill his wife. His only family he had left!

This is part of the story that was pass on in my family. The real reason of, why he did it! Was not release to cover up what those people had done. You do not want people not believe in the catholic church. So they just claim he was mad.

The reason he kill the way he did, was beause after that had given his soul. To these deamons. In Return to allow him to kill off these people life line. So some of the rituals he perform was to them! It is along long story I just made short.

I used to see a russian guy named Vlad. We called him Vlad the Impaler because he had a huge cock and fucked like he was one of those big concrete drills! I liked.

Deep inside every Slav lurks a little bit of Vlad. Deep inside many women spelunk many Slavs.

You have to understand his background. I'm not sure if the Wilkpedia mentioned it, but he was forced to watch his father and brother buried alive. He had it out for the boyars after that, forever.

It was also true the country needed a ruler with an iron hand, the Turks were howling at the gates constantly.

Nonetheless the guy was just carried away with the brutality, quite akin to Ivan the Terrible.

My favorite Vlad story is when the Turkish ambassadors refused to doff their hats as a gesture of respect. "Very well..." he said, "we'll fix it so you will never have to do that again, either!", and had their hats nailed to their heads. Made his point, I think.

Then there was the visiting priest who upon being shown the latest field of impaled victims, could not refrain from complaining of the smell. So Vlad had him impaled upon an even taller pole, to keep him above the smell.

They deliberately used dull pointed poles up the asses of most of the victims, that way it would take days for them to die sometimes.

He reigned twice, neither period being very long. Not a fun time, though.

Never saw the movie, but I read a bit about the Countess, she was almost as bad as Vlad, eh? The bathing in blood was a myth, just like Vlad drinking blood of course, but they do make for good horror stories.

I will look for the movie--thanks for the tip!
