I've been on Lutera (a low-dose pill) for about 4 months now, and haven't had much of a problem with breakthrough bleeding or spotting. Except for this time around. My doc has the Rx set up so that I tricycle it and take 3 packs before I get a period. This time, on the third week of the first pack, I started lightly bleeding, mostly that reddish-brown junk, and I'm still bleeding a little 2 weeks later. I'm not supposed to get my period for another 5 weeks! And I'm pretty good about taking the pills at the same time every night.

Normally I wouldn't care THAT much (even though it sucks having to use up that many pads), except I'm seeing my bf tomorrow, and it's been awhile, so it would be nice to not have to deal with that nasty brown blood. Plus, we're going to a party, and I HATE having to deal with (or remember to deal with) my period when I'm not sober.

I was wondering if there was something I can do to end it? Like take an extra pill once to get more hormones in my system? (To be honest, I've been a little sick/stressed lately, so that could have lowered my hormone levels). Or would that be a bad idea?

I'll deal with it if I have to, but it would be nice if this would stop. I'm not bleeding very much now, but still enough to need some sort of protection.
