    Default what's your workout regimen?

    At the moment I'm just hiking one or two days a week and letting dancing take care of the rest, but I intend to take up Bikram (hot) yoga a few days a week soon. I could shed like 5 lbs but I'm afraid to lose my boobs. Anyway, I'm just curious what you all do.

    Remember to lift weights girlies!

    1/2 hour cardio, upper body weights one day, lower body the next. I want to do Bikram too. Actually what I do (when I do it haha) is the Body For Life workout. That's some solid shit!


    I always go back n forth on whether dancing is truly effective...I mean %99 of nights I don't even break a sweat. (Even when super busy LDing.)

    Oh derrrr...they're prob gonna tell you you should have posted this is body business. (And you've seen how ppl get about repeat threads right? Some ppl are prob gonna say REMEMBER TO SEARCH!!!!!! But imo any workout thread is good n motivational. )

    I lift weights about twice a week, do some cardio about 2-3x a week for about 10-20 minutes. (lulz bad o well).

    I teach about 20 fitness classes a week. Maybe 22.

    I lift weights 5 or so days a week. But I just took the last week and a half off and feel like shit because of it.

    I'm back to lifting again tomorrow though!

    At home I'll do pull ups off my loft bed and do shoulder stability stuff with my tubing. And I'll climb up my pole too. I foam roll when I'm watching TV.

    I try to do weights and cardio 3 times a week. But I haven't been very consistant lately.

    I USED to do 30 of cardio 2-3 times week and lift total body weights 2 times a week for an hour. Ugh, I've been not going.

    Yeah but how do you use the roller to exercise? I thought they were more for stretching and massage.

    I jog most days for up to an hour (though I might very occasionally do a half marathon if I'm up to it, but I'm still building my fitness as far as that's concerned), plus I go to the gym four times a week to do boxing and resistance work. I might go to the odd aqua aerobics or deep water running class if it suits, but that's not a regular thing. Likewise with yoga- I go very irregularly, but I do complete the usual stretches after my regular workouts. I used to do a lot of long walks when I was building up my fitness, but I've now switched to jogging mostly. I do the odd short pleasure walk, that's about it.

    Needless to say, my body composition has changed a lot. I'm really seeing the difference in my tone since easing into running and gym work. My moods have also evened out much more. Endorphins ahoy!

    Well with all the jumping, lifting, pulling and pushing I do I NEED the roller for stretching/massage! I use tennis balls too. i'm going to start including a weekly massage too. I consider it all "exercise."

    ahmeerah that's a lot of working out! You must be a busy girl my god when do you find the time?

    I work out 4-6 days a week and that includes 40-50 min. cardio on various machines every time, weights upper body (back chest triceps biceps shoulders) 3 days, lower back abs and lower body 2-3 days. I alternate the days I do the weights. Stretching is every day. I also dance 1-3 days/week depending on the weather and my mood lol.

    I chase around two kids and spar with a 250+ lb. finacee', and then I randomly select exercise clips from On Demand.

    Four days minimun a week of: 1/2 hour of cardio then if I have the energy to do more, then I'll do more, but ALWAYS a half hour minimum.
    Then lift weights, rotating days of: arms/ upper back and legs/butt, and abs/lower back.

    2 days a week I work out witha trainer for a half hour. That is how i get my strength exercizes done. On training days I do 20 minutes of cardio before, and 15-20 after. On off days, I try to do 30 minutes of cardio, and I also take my dog for a run every day for an hour. I also concider it exercise that I have to take him outside to pee every hour, plus we play a few times a day. Plus I dance 2 or 3 nights a week. I have lost 5lbs in the past 2 weeks of doing this routine.

    I run between 6-15 miles per week (pretty wide range there, huh... yep, that's ToTH-style discipline for you). I swim when it's warm and jump rope & hula hoop when it's not. I don't like going to the gym or using machines. I could stand to add some weights, though. My course is going to whip me into shape... I'ma come back a as solid-iron Mexican-survival machine.
    Drought was over. Where was I? Drinks were on the house.

    usually I do 30-45 mins of cardio a day followed by 30 mins of weights.

    however, I've taken the whole week off and I feel like a fat ass.

    I do 20-40 minutes on an elliptical or high speed dancing (kicking, punching, bouncing) with huge boots on. But I'll only do that on days I don't work. I also hit the gym at least once a week for weight training, plus 150 sit ups every day.

    BTW, do you guys usually exercise on days you dance (if you dance, that is)?

    Ideal day would be gym before work for me, cuz I just don't get the same excercise rush, or sweat as much. (Maybe if I was a crazy pole junkie I'd do that instead of upper body weights at gym tho) I think LDing can give you good tone, but it just seems like the bottom line is that it's no subsitute for the gym feeling.

    It's just something I do at home. It's a mix of every style of dance I know, stripping, belly dancing, a little bit of country... I put on music I like to dance to and dance around as fast as I can. Plus, I wear 5 and 3/4in platform boots to add weight to my feet. I do it for a minimum of 40 minutes.

    I guess it's a little silly.

    I walk on my treadmill 4-5 days a week, anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes each time. I also do a 10 minute Abs of Steel video 3 times a week and lift weights 3 times a week.

    Monday -

    10 minute warm up on bike with ankle weights for intensity
    30-45 minutes of weight 'supersets' - so one set of 12 reps on one machine, then onto a second machine for one set of 12 reps, then back to the first machine. for 6 sets each machine. I paid machines up in two's, usually opposing muscles.

    Tuesday

    10 minute warm up on bike with ankle weights
    3 minute warm up on treadmill followed by HIIT, with 1 minute running at 11.5+ then the recovery minute running at 8.5. Do this for 7 minute of each (14 minutes total) and increase by adding a fast and slow interval each week of traning.

    Wednesday -

    15 mins elliptcal
    30-45 minutes free weight training

    Thursday -

    10 minute warm up on any chosen machine
    30 minutes steady running

    friday -

    10 minte warm up on rower
    30-45 minutes weights and fitball exercises

    sat-

    rest

    sunday-

    10 minute warm up
    HIIT on treadmill 20mins




    Very effective from what I've completed so far. Each week I add an interval of fast and slow to Interval training on treadmill, and now n then do interval training on all my cardio days instead of steady running wednesday.

    I like the variety, it shocks my body.
