After coming back from the grocery store, definately not. However, the store guy did help me look up a price on some patio furniture. That's his job though.

WTF is up with ppl at the grocery store? Douchebaggery all around, from the parking lot to the checkout line. I need to have my groceries delivered so I can attain full hermit mode.

After reading the myriad of responses to this thread. I still stand by my original post.

People are selfish. Just like electricity, it is a neutral standpoint and it is the ACTIONS of that person that determine whether they are "good" or "bad". Plus it also depends upon the person who is doing the judging as to what constitutes "good" and "bad".

Trader Joe's customers are the biggest douche bags lately.

Do I belive people are good?

I believe some people are good. Now I do know for a fact that today's society more people are living with no consciences. Infact they say there is and increase percentage of people.

"1in 25 americans secretly has no conscience and can do anything at all without feeling guilty". Martha Stout, ph.d.

^ Because of the above qoute, it may seen as most people. Do things with out feeling guilty. Just to get ahead in the world.

I see people all the time. Who are just miserable and do things to ruian others to feel good about themselves. Than I see good people, who are nice in general. Get treated like they are crazy, or that people take advantage of their kindness. Than I see those who are crazy act as if they are nice to get over of folks

I do believe are society is raising our children to become less social. With the arise of video game playing, I believe has a lot to do with it! They are incouraging independance more than social skills. Thier should be a blance between to the two

I like to believe that generally most people are good and have had this reinforced on many occasions, most recently with people on this site who have offered support to me during a rough time in my life.

This is how acts of cruelty or abuse or abject neglect, to say nothing of torture or humiliation, are justified in their minds. It's why, for example, some parents who have orchestrated, say, a two-decade living horror show of alcoholism and abuse, or wholesale emotional neglect, can be shocked, shocked, if anybody were to suggest they were anything but good people or good parents. One of the best embodiments of this "evil with the face of innocence" was played out by Nancy Marchand as Olivia Soprano. Some would argue that she was just brilliantly manipulative, but that's not "good," either.
This really stuck in my head. I wish I was slightly less stuffy in the head right now, but this explains how I see most people. They aren't good or bad, but they will go to every end to appear good. I kind of find it disgusting. And understandable.

Depending on where you are and exactly who you are talking about, I feel that almost all people will give you a few seconds of their time or perhaps spontaneously help you if it's minimal risk to them. After a few seconds of talking or whatever, the decide if the interaction is worth some more time, depending on how much time they have available. What happens in that additional time is variable and can be good or bad, depending on them and you. It is like an opportunity whose path is almost completely unknown at the start.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

girls do see it a bit different....I see the rude and selfish ways of others but not really with first hand experiance....I just observe things. My guy friends say that I don't know the half of it because I'm a girl. Apparently the consensus amongst my guy friends is that road rage is a lot worse and more dangerous if you're a guy. I never understood someones desire to get out and actually fight someone for not going 20miles faster than the posted speed limit! LOL!

Oh I hope you have fun when you come up here....hopefully the cold weather is gone by then! How long will you be up here?
