HOW is what i wanna know? The strike! My Heroes is at a dead stop season 2 wounded to the heart by the impoending strike to the point of spinning it's wheels in the snow/mud every shot and LOST gets to starts up?
Where's my goddamned Heroes!
Well, happy you get your Lost. I'll be watching Sarah Connor Chronicles, so i got something.
Season 4, not 3!

Yeah, it's season 4. I'll be waiting until the dvd's come out. We're watching season 3 right now, and I enjoy it much more when I can just plop down and watch 4 episodes at once commercial free. They'd better start seriously answering some questions sometime soon. Right now every episode ends with me going "ARRRGGGH!! WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE ARRRRGGGGHHH!!"
waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.
^^ I felt exactly that way in season 2, and gave up early. Every interview the writers did gave me the clear impression that they were intentionally making it up as they went along, and being extremely smug about it, which I just cannot abide.
I'm still curious, though, since I REALLY liked the way it started off (I mean, what a freakin' premiere!!!). So I'd love to know what the major developments are - have they come any closer to tying everything together? Feel free to spoil me.

LOST!! I can't wait.
*SPOILERS*
Season II
Micheal went looking for his son. He got captured by the Others, who sent him back to the Beach to infiltrate the Hatch and free Ben. So he kills Ana Lucia and Libby (the two tailies), shoots himself and frees Ben, then leads a list of people the others gave him back to the Others' ambush site. Sayid has a hunch that its an ambush and tells Jack, and he formulates a plans to attack from behind with Jin and Sun while the main party is led by the traitor Micheal. Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley are all captured and Walt is released and he and his father leave the Island on a small boat.
Season III
This one gave me a Saw impression, but basically, Sawyer wakes up in a cage outdoors, Jack in an underground cell and Kate with Tom, where she is ordered to take a shower eat breakfast with Ben. Sayid and Jin wait in ambush for the Others to come, but the Others attack from behind and surround Sun. Sun kills Colleen, one of the Others that is the wife of another Other who tries to kill Sawyer in revenge. Yadda yadda yadda Sawyer and Kate eventually escape from Alcatraz thanks to Jack and come back to the survivors' Beach. Apparently the whole purpose of capturing them was to make Jack operate on Ben who had a tumor. So Jack stays with the Others for a while, plays football with Tom, etc., but Kate feels bad about leaving Jack behind so she organizes a retriever party with Locke, Sayid and Rousseau. They head out and on their way they find an Other named Mikhail that claims to be the last member of the Dharma Initiative when the scourge happened. He reveals that the Others have a submarine. Long story short they take him prisoner and kill another female Other.
Somewhere along the timeline the monster kills Eko (big black savage guy).
So....where was I....okay so they find Jack, but all get caught by the Others while Kate and Sayid try to free him. Locke destroys the Submarine with explosives, and Rousseau spies on her daughter, who is raised by Ben.
lol this is getting long. They let Jack and Juliette, an Other that Jack befriended, go back to the Beach, along with Kate and Sayid. Rousseau disappears to god knows where and Locke stays behind with the Others, finds his father that was kidnapped and thrown on the Island, and is told to kill his father who handicapped him by throwing him out the window of a building. Locke can't kill his father, so he enlisted Sawyer to kill him instead, because it was him that conned Sawyer's mom. Sawyer murders him. Locke goes back to the Others and wants to meet their leader, but Ben tricks him and shoots him, leaving him to die in a pit where all the members of the Dharma Initiative were thrown into after Ben single-handedly wiped them out with tear gas, in concord with the Others, who are then known as the native Hostiles to the Dharma Initiative who came on the Island to research it or someshit like that.
All while this happens, Desmond(Hatch guy) forms a 5-man party to chase a vision he had. They find a woman(Marsha Thomason) who parachuted on the Island, that claims that her search squad is nearby on a big boat.
Sighhh this is tiring...okay so basically they all head home to the Beach at the end, and Juliette was hired by Ben to infiltrate the survivors, but she confesses everything to Jack and they all formulate a plan to destroy the Others once and for all *rolleyes* The Others plan was to come and kidnap all the women in case they were pregnant, because all the women on the Island die when they give birth.
The survivors set the Beach up with explosives and make an exodus, leaving a few of them behind to spring the trap. The Others come, most of them get killed, but they end up rounding up all the ambushers and using them as hostages.
Jack leads the entire group of survivors to the Radio tower where Rousseau's message is broadcasted. They encounter Ben on the way, beat the crap out of him and put a leash on his neck and drag him along.
There was a signal blockage that the Others used, so the survivors had preemptively sent Charlie on a suicide mission to deactivate it. Before Charlie dies, he gains the knowledge that the people on the Boat aren't who they claim they are, which he transmits to Desmond. Locke suddenly appears and throws a knife at Marsha Thomason that proves fatal. Jack makes contact with the boat with Thomason's radio. Meanwhile Sawyer and Juliette(the double agent) come back and free the survivors on the Beach and kill everyone else.
Damn its almost done..............do I sound like I have A.D.D yet ? I don't.
IN SHORT, there's a flash to the future where Jack and Kate are alive at LAX or JFK or wherever, and Jack's mumbling shit like 'we shouldn't have left the Island' or whatever, and then season 3 ends while the 'fake' rescue is on the way or someshit like that.
There ya go Rose.
Oh ya and 2 more survivors are introduced but they killed them too.

In summary the writers probably don't know what the fuck they are doing. The survivors get caught like half a dozen times....the monster is still not revealed....we barely know anything about the Others....but apparently there will be some more shirtless Jack and Sawyer scenes.

^^^Locke's disability is kind of like this: he became handicapped after his kidney-stealing con man dad threw him out of a window. When the plane crashed on the island, Locke regained consciousness on the beach and realized he could walk. This is the basis for his belief in the island's magicalness.
The number sequence was not addressed in the third season at all.
Do you guys think that Charlie is really going to be dead? I love him, so I really hope not. I am crossing my fingers that he is fake dead like how Locke has been a handful of times.
Drought was over. Where was I? Drinks were on the house.
For mixers, my love, you'd poured--what?--even the rain.

I can't wait for it to start back up!

A couple of the actors from "Deadwood" had parts in Season 3, too. I thought that was nifty.
The biggest "spoiler" to me so far is the chopper pilot woman showing up and saying no one is looking for them because the wreckage of flight 815 was found and all passengers were killed. Wtf is that about? Oh, plus she had a copy of the picture of Desmond and Penny. Weirdness. We've got 2 discs left I think.
Oh, and why would they stay on the beach after they thought the Others had gone? I would so be over there in their cozy little houses with electricity and running water and the crazy sonic fence around it.
It is also my opinion that Kate is super hot.

I absolutely love this show! I always wait until the season comes out on DVD, then sit at home watching episode after episode back to back. I haven't had the money to buy season 3, but it's on the top of my list.
I watched seasons 1&2 on DVD that I rented for free from my local library - 6 week rentalsSeason 3 I watched on tv. Youre right - its season 4.
Sawyers a babe![]()
Let's just clear something up. There are exactly 48 episodes left to be played out. The creators of LOST had to win a huge battle with the network in order to get this deal--initially, there were supposed to be 2 24 episode seasons--they compromised and agreed on 3 16 episode seasons. The reason they went through this battle is because THEY HAVE EVERY ASPECT OF THE SHOW PLANNED OUT. They are, in no way, making things up as they go along. I get the confusion, frustration, etc., but I promise you, they know what they are doing. There is a greater method behind all the madness.
Whether ya like it or not, that's totally cool...But I thought it might help to know that they aren't just randomly pulling things out of their asses.
All of this information, along with spoilers, clues, detailed episode summaries, etc., can be found on lostpedia.com.
Mkay. That's my rant. Sorry to be all crazy--I'd get exactly this way if someone said JK Rowling just made things up as she went along too!!!
^^That is good to hear. I'll admit that I'm one of those who were a little skeptical as to whether or not the writers were putting stories together eposide by episode. Regardless, I love this show.
I'm very excited and can't wait to watch the 4th season, but I think I may have to re-watch all the other seasons because there is a lot that I don't remember. My memory is horrible!

I'm super excited too.
First 3 seasons I watched back-to-back. I was a complete hermit when I watched like that.

Hehehe...No offense taken.
I just like to hear myself type.
They are TOTALLY making it up season by season. *braces for impact*

We finished Season 3 on dvd last night. I even watched the Bonus Features disc hoping there would be some sort of "Hee Hee, click here and we'll explain everything" type button. But no. Dammit.
