    Default Saying Hello

    Hello Ladies (and gents),
I just registered and this is my first post. My wife of 10 years is considering auditioning and I wanted to do some research and learn what I can about everything. I want to be as supportive as I can, but I also have concerns (mostly for her safety). We are both fairly unfamiliar with the club scene in general. This is a really cool site and I plan to mostly lurk for now, reading through various threads. I will post occasionally with questions and comments. Thank you in advance for all of your insightful contributions.

Hi to you and good to see a you are being supportive of your wife. If you wanna lurk then here are some helpful hints (I hope).
The title of each forum pretty much explains what you will find there. If you go to a forum there will be stickies at the top of each one with loads of FAQ and advice. this stops the same questions being asked constantly. Ladies Only is just that you will not be allowed to post there. Try to post in the correct forum, don't worry you will probably have it pointed out to you ha ha.
If you have any things you want to look for there is a search function on the top next to new posts and you will have thousands of posts that you can look through. Good Luck to your wife and enjoy. Oh and the ladies on here sometimes bite, but I have found them to mostly be really lovely and helpful .

    JustJayda,
Feel free to reply to anything I post, regardless of what you want to say. I just want to see that pic again! wow!

    kitty69,
Thanks for the tips. I will aim for the stickies first. Also, if the ladies on here bite me, I probably deserved it!

I wouldn't post in Stripping General about this, but you could get your wife to join and she could ask there maybe. Stripping General is for industry issues, and though your concerns are industry-related, it's really more for people who work in the business, especially dancers.

Of course there isn't really a specific place for concerned husbands to post questions either, exactly. I know there have been several threads in Stripping General about dancer safety, etc., do a search for them first, I imagine. You should definitely get her to look at the site with you, it could be a positive way to get into it together.

Agreed, if you read the FAQ for that section there's really only a few circumstances under which a male (or non dancer in general) should be posting in there (DJs exempted of course!). Reading FAQs + being polite = much more likely to have a good/beneficial time on this site.

Anyway welcome! It's good that you're concerned but if your wife is smart and careful it should be allright so don't overdo it!
