my husband and i flew over from dallas on jan. 7th. it usually dies in big d after new years so we figured it was now or never. we'd been talking about tryin it out for 2 years. we picked up our rent car and rite down the road was our hotel, crestwood suites. the room looked fine, w/ kitchenette, tho we dumbly got one on the mornin sun side. (get a north facing window if ya wanta sleep late, or bring a roll of sun block material and tacks.)
though we were both groggy from the flite and lack of sleep the nite before we drug ourselves out the first nite to see Scores at 9;00. its super fancy in and out, with free cover if arriving in your own car vs. taxi. (whats up w/ that?) A wide range of talent, some even hotter than me, tho few as exotic. but way too many, like 100! I talked to the manager about work around back.
Then we checked out Spearmint Rhino where our buddy Reese comes to work and does well. No free cover here and $30 each was a pain. Its older and darker than Scores but more custy's inside. Lotsa dances going on but nowhere to sit cept @ tip rail.Wierd how both clubs have more than one girl on stage @ same time. Noone seemed to be making any tips on stage. We left by 1;00.
Tues we spent doing the dreaded "Sheriff's Card" ($35 cash) which took 2 hours, faster than we'd thought. Then to the north side of downtown to do "Business License" ($100 cash) which only took an hour. I was nervous to say "entertainer" when lady asked what it was for. But she was nice and didnt bat an eye. jeez, in dallas she'd've hit me over the head w/ her bible! In Vegas its just another job. But later we noticed the huge section of "entertainers" in yellow pages are all hookers! Oops, guess i should've said "dancer"? Left rite at 5;00, happy to have so quickly done both hassels.
On wed. we went across street to Outlet Mall and I got some new outfits and 2 little money purses since tini stripper clothes/g-strings and/or garters aren't allowed @ Scores. I showed up @ Scores by 9;00 to apply and interview. While touring VIP w/ house mom a guy grabbed my hand and invited me to stay. $200/ 6 dances later he offered me $5000. to go back to his hotel. Tempting but NOT, sorry dude. My husband was nervously nursing his $8 beer at main bar, fending off endless approaches. When I finally showed up he was relieved and soon left me all alone in a crowd of strangers. I hate it when he leaves me!
Most of the hotties hang around the front door trying to snag guys when they walk in for the VIP's. ($100/3dances or $500/hour not including way overpriced drinks!) One nice girl and I found 2 Indian guys for the "Piano Bar" VIP. I didnt know it was $500/hour in there so I kept trying to dance while she mostly sat and talked and drank. Later on they had to leave, my guy another damn "pants comer". My guy gave me $1500. in wierd "Scores Dollars". Little did I know it'd cost me 10% to exchange them for real money. (lost $150 to club!) Thats the key then- VIP!. Girls who work only the main floor dont make much. I ended up leaving @ 5;00 am excited to have (barely) broken my all time record, with $1600. even, after fee's ($80 house, $12 DJ, $7 mom, $3 doorguy.)
Thursday nite, back to Score's, pumped from my first nites take. BUT.. it was s-l-o-w and competition was fierce. Tommy reluctantly hung out 2 beers. He discovered while chatting w/ girls that the girls by the front door tip the bouncers 20% to hook them up with custy's walking in. Ahh Haa! But 20%?
Later on I was shocked to see in walk the owner of the Clubhouse and GM from Dallas! I was really scared they'd be mad at me but they were happy to see me and the owner ended up buying $200 worth of dances from me. He's always such a naughty boy! I guess they know the Scores people. But the nite sucked and I left @ 5;00 with only $550!
Friday nite back to Score's. I wonder if non convention weeks would be as good since half the girls seemed to be outatowners. Less girls = less competition? I dunno. Hubby went over to check out huge Sapphire Club. (all three topless by the way). He found $30 on sidewalk as he walked up to front door! Free cover ($30) if you mention add in yellow pages. Good thing cause his beer cost a whopping $11.50! It was packed and over 300 girls on the floor! One girl he asked said the smaller clubs in town are better money.
He showed up to get me @ 5;30am, room alarm didnt go off, and I left w/ a respectable tho not amazing $837.
Saturday nite I wanted to try the Rhino. Tommy escouted me around back to girls entrance and we were shocked to see a line of girls just waiting to get in to work! I guess they really do have 3-400 girls on busy nites. But how do they all fit? Doesn't look big enuf to us. The door guy was rude to us. Then the dance manager John was worse. Why do most managers have to be such jerks? I missed my Frank back at the Clubhouse Dallas. John told me I could work but not until 2;30am. Fuck that, back to Scores. At least there I already know what to do and theres only 100 girls. But my mood was already souring. Tommy figured out if you apply you get a free "Score Card" for half priced drinks forever. Cool. I also learned dancers can buy 2 two dollar drink tickets/shift in back. I began hustling somewhat reluctantly. I soon had lots of $20 floor dances but the $500 VIP was a tuff con, even tho it was packed. Later on, at 4;30 I had a girl/guy couple up in the $100/3dances VIP. She was hot and nice but as I was sucking her boobs I felt a tap on my shoulder from behind. The VIP mangar had seen me and said i had to go home after this dance! I was pissed. I thought VIP rules were at least flexible! Downstairs the other manager said, yep, go home, but come back tomorrow nite. I hid my tears as I waited out back from Tom to come get me. Now I was all bummed at Vegas in general and I only cleared $660 on a sat. nite. Hell I do better than that always in Dallas.
sunday nite I was too bummed to go anywhere. If Vegas isn't nearly double Dallas then its not worth considering moving, even tho hubby likes it better due to hiking/mtns nearby. We spent the next few days looking at houses/neighborhoods, visiting dumb casinos, and hiking in cool Red Rock canyon. I guess we'll just stay in boring ole Dallas a few more years. But hey, dancing paid for the trip plus some, and now Tommy can brag that his wife was once a LAS Vegas Stripper!
