i am new to the charlotte, nc area and am currently seeking work. while job searching, i noticed a phenomenon that i never ever esaw in south carolina. i cant even get in the door of certain clubs because of rude door girls! this happened at 3 different places-twin peeks, leather and lace north and paper doll lounge. ill ask if theyre hiring and the girls instantly say "no" without even calling a manager. granted, these were all comparitively small clubs so maybe they really are at full capacity but it just seems unusual. since when t=do the door girls make hiring decisions? and is it necessary to be so rude? at paper doll lounge, the door girl told me to fill out an application and that she would hand if off to the manager. i asked her if i should wait around in the meantime seeing as how strip club managers arent exactly going to hire a girl that they havent seen or talked to based on her customer service resume. the door girl snapped "no" and flounced away. its highly frustrating and i dont feel ive been given a fair chance. now, maybe the door girls do have some idea of what "type" their club hires. if this had happened just once, at an upscale 5 star club, i wouldnt be so shocked. im not one of the so called "super strippers" that have a unioversally appealing look and loads of confidence. im a dancing novice, door next girl looking, not a knockout but definately cute. i find it hard to believe that im not good enough for any of these clubs. twin peeks and leather and lace were both kind of dive-y. i havent looked into the bigger clubs because im intimidated but damn, maybe theyd be more professionally run at least! anybody else encountered this problem?
