I want to buy a book or two on how to do different looks, with step by step insructions that are easy to follow. More bright, extreme eyeshadow looks. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

All of Kevin Aucoin's books are pretty good for step-by-step instruction.
Yea I have "Making Faces" and its really easy step by step instructions with lots of pictures. I wasn't too impressed with his other book..I forget what it was called. Good luck!

Friend Me!
have you gone on youtube or specktra.net?
lots of free tutorials there
The Kevyn Aucoin ones are really good, so is the Nars one. But I recommend going on first like Emily suggested and perusing the "Makeup Tutorials" forum.

This is more of a 'don't' than a 'do'. I have Make-up for Dummies, which thankfully I didn't pay for, and it's ridiculous. I mostly keep it on my shelf for entertainment value.
Dear Lord, save us from those thy children who speak without thought, and protect them also from the rotten tomatoes they shall thereafter receive in the kisser.

Bobbi Brown has a good one. don't remember what its called but its at all the big name bookstores.

i can't suggest any books, but i'm subscribed to the BEST youtube channel for eye makeup. this girl has like a million different videos with step-by-step instructions on how to do different eye looks.

I looove working for MAC. It's like getting schooled for free. You do tutorials all day! It's so much fun and I learn alot when I do a makeup application. Every face is a different canvas.
Latina Rose's tutorials are very good, and thorough. You should check those out as well!

3.Bobbi Brown BeautyThis was my first makeup book when I was a teenager, it's fabulous for beginners and those a little more experienced. Good basics. Especially with introducing one to all those brushes (you know, the ones most girls are like, "WTF is this one for?").

anyone know of any books to do fancy (i call it stripper make-up)?
Like what Latinarose and Venusgoddess is always teaching us? I buy porn mags to help, but a book would be even better.
