    Default custies ignoring your stage

This has been happening to me more and more frequently. Right before my stage, I always chat with a guy until the DJ announces my name and I say "oohh... that's me! I have to go onstage now. It was nice talking with you. Would you like me to come see you for a dance when I'm done?" This has been working like a charm. Only funny thing is......

They do get a dance from me after my stage but sometimes they completely ignore me onstage??? I don't get it. If you think I'm attractive enough to pay up to $100 for dances from me (the most a guy who ignored me as paid), wouldn't you want to watch my show?

Don't get me wrong, it doesn't bother me or anything. It just baffles me.

Some guys don't like to see the girl they really, really like performing for other men. They would prefer to look the other way and pretend she's just taking a really long bathroom break and will return shortly just for him.

I think a lot of guys won't come tip until you've at least got your top off. It's annoying, because stage money could be twice as good! After you've secured a dance for afterwards, try saying something like, "Don't be a stranger when I'm on stage." Or mention how you'll be lonely up there without him. Something gay like that, guys like that.

Where I work there isn't really tipping onstage. Sometimes guys go onstage for a "dive for five" but the girls don't rely on it for their income at all. The most I've seen a girl get tipped is $10. In fact, last night the only girl who got tipped onstage was me and that was just because I told my regular it would make me happy if he did.

Some guys just don't like approaching the tip rail & wait till you come around. Men are weird like that. They're not shy about getting you to grind on their lap but they're scared to come up to the tip rail and drop money.

If I have a completely empty tip rail in a busy club, I start doing disco or the chicken dance. It will get you noticed, guaranteed. Ah, being willing to make a fool out of myself as a job skill- if only my sophomore English teacher could see me now. (No, really, he was hot!)

I am so guilty of silly things when I am up on stage and no one cares. I start clicking my shoes really loud and banging them on the floor of the stage, or just start doing push ups, sit ups and squats (hey I could at least be doing something good for myself in the meantime right)
One day was really bad with people ignoring the girls on stage, and my sister was on the stage opposite of me, we had a dance off! Yeah, ya know, all the good ones....the sprinkler, the cabbage patch, the swim, the mc hammer, the pulp fiction dance, the macarena, and the vogue.

Yeah, I get that too. Then I just practice pole stuff, or else I walk around bored. For everyone unfamiliar, we don't have a tip rail. Newmoon said it exactly right- tips are not standard here. They are the exception, not the rule. I've often had guys not give a shit about my stage...I think maybe they just prefer dances. Sometimes they'll go to the bathroom while I'm dancing, and then meet me after for the CR. Whatever.

What pisses me off is when there is a room full of guys, and they don't clap. No, sorry, they clap for HOCKEY, but not the stage.

^^It's funny because that's one thing that irks me. When there's a room full of customers and all they do is clap. I want you to tip me damnit, not clap for me!

At my club, a lot of our income could be off of stage money. I don't get the whole "custies ignoring your stage" either. It happens though. But for me, they usually turn out to be the cheapos who end up not buying any dances from me through out the night. They are just time wasters.

That's when I will clap and yell "yay boobies!" It almost always gets a laugh and sometimes even applause.

    1. Guy doesn't want to risk losing his seat by getting up.
    2. Guy is shy and doesn't like to have "all eyes on him."
    3. Guy doesn't give a shit about stage dancing, and not impressed or interested.
    4. Guy has raging boner and doesn't want everyone to see it under the bright stage lights.

Like Katrine said, the main reason that a guy with money to spend will typically ignore the stage is when he feels awkward standing there, feeling as if he is on "display" as well.

^^^Yep. Sometimes we're more entertainers than sex-goddesses. I mime hopscotch, do a stupid ho-down dance... other dumb stuff. Gets me noticed.

I always smile at anyone and everyone that makes eye contact with me. It turns up the energy in the room. It takes a huge vacuum of negative energy for someone to NOT smile back at you when you break out a huge smile for them. I love it. They smile back and stand up seconds later, open their wallets and walk up to tip me. Try it and see.

Also... learn to pick your battles. Not everyone is going to like you, not even everyone that likes you is going to tip you. Sometimes for all of my antics, energy, and smiles, no one is interested. The way I feel, they can kiss my ass. It's no skin off my back, and I just go on with my night. I'm not going to let the lack of some dude's whole big horizontally folded dollar get me down.

yep yep, some of my best customers never tip on stage, but they sure buy a ton of dances. I guess they figure it evens out that way.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..
