This probably isn't the healthiest thing to be doing very often but No Doz caffeine tablets are good for energy. They equal a cup of coffee so it's not a lot of caffeine, especially if you don't drink coffee but they keep me awake in lectures.

^ I buy those by the hundred. They work for me, but I really shouldn't take so many when I'm working.

I think a poster told me once on SW that try not to schedule classes before noon. My earliest class is at 11am this year and I get out at 2pm. I also have an online class....take as many as you can they are awesome and save so much time and effort. This is like my 4th one.

For the sake of this semester try to sleep as soon as you get home or work different days or times. Really hammer out a schedule of work, babies, homework etc. Only 4 hours of sleep a night is not going to help you mentally day to day.

There is also an energy drink called Redline. Its like a runaway train in a can. Whatever you do don't drink the whole thing the first time.

I try to arrange my classes and work on different days if I can. And I'm switching to an earlier shift (4-12), so I get some sleep.

Tea is my saviour though. Easier on the stomach than coffee. Make sure you have enough to eat, so you don't crash out and eat all junk food. That will make you more tired! I hope you aren't keeping that schedule too often. A body needs more than 3-4 hours of sleep.

I just have one of those big 24 cases of Redbull next to my bed, and I sip on one through my morning routine. It's a good jumpstart until my body goes "Oh, we're awake now? Oh, okay... my bad."

Hmmmm.... for your next semester you might try and wrangle your classes into 2 or 3 days. Yeah, you'll be on campus forever, but then you have 4 or 5 days to work/relax/ etc.

I wouldn't recommend online courses. They are often rife with bullshit assignments that take up more time than they are worth. Basically, the professors try and compensate for the lack of actual classtime with annoying little projects. For me, in person courses were a breeze, the online classes weren't hard... just a massive pain in the neck.

I only recommend them because I can do them on my own time and have never earned less than a B. Probably good for you since you've got some kiddos. They are probably only good for bs classes. Important and core classes aren't as good for online as they require more teacher input to understand the subject matter.

Try to take a nap after class if you don't have to pick up your kids from day care right after. You need your rest nursing classes are a bitch and if your not well rested it will be harder on you.
