Default Valentines Day Gifts.Ladies and Gentleman your plans?

I was wondering what would be the most romantic thing to give someone you are dating but unable to be there in person? As you know I'm overseas at the moment.
I know flowers are a given but I was thinking of several gifts to send my Lady, I just cannot decide.
What are your plans for your special someone also?

    Cash. Cold hard cash.

Is this your girlfriend? I'm assuming yes, but it's an odd question to put in this forum. If she is someone you are involved with romantically I don't think cash is a romantic gift at all. In fact, I think it would be really weird to give her cash.

Your ideas are all good. Personally, I'd love to have the spa day because it's something that I would not spend my own money on. I think a lot of women are that way. And you can never go wrong with flowers. There's nothing like having a beautiful bouquet delivered.

How about a handmade card? Somewhere on it put a heart with your initials and hers and a cupid's arrow through it. Inside tell her how much you adore her. Muster up whatever artistic talent you have dude. It'll be one of kind.
Seal it with a kiss and mail it off.

Yeah I agree about the cash. also the flowers are mandatory but I wanted to add something special in there also.

To answer your Question yes she is my girlfriend or atleast dating. Not to sound old fashioned but I'm trying to court her lol

^ Could you tell us about her personality? What does she like to do in her free time? What do you two do together when you are home (no, I mean a couple days after that.)

Gifts are a very personal thing beyond the obvious flowers. But even with flowers the selection of quantity, type, color, etc. are determined by personal preference.

The thought, originality and creativity that go into the gift are more important than cost. So let's hear her/your story.

Cash is really not a good idea for someone your dating... I know dancers commonly think thats that best gift from customers, but I don't think this is that type of relationship.

My suggestion, send her something native from where you are. Try and evoke the idea of "wish you were here".
^^^That idea doesn't work as well if your somewhere like Iraq...

I would love it for a gift if someone sent me a masseuse that came to my house and did an hour massage. Could you arrange something like that? Or a beauty therapist to do a facial? I think gifts like that are thoughtful.

If this is your girlfriend do not send cash that's tacky. I think the girls here who said that were thinking customer- stripper.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

i'm planning on making a really nice dinner (like, REALLY nice). i don't like going out to dinner on V-DAY because it's so crowded everywhere and places always have those damned "special menus" on valentine's. we might go out to eat the following weekend.

as far as presents, i have no idea yet. i thought about going to a strip club the weekend after, but i'm kind of discouraged at this point (irony huh?). every time we go we flat out ignored and/or there are no "alternative-looking" girls there. it's frustrating. any time iiiii work somewhere there are at least 4 or 5 and i see girls hanging out with customers way less attractive who are spending less than us. maybe my stripper-vibe is too strong and girls don't want to sit with me.

anyway, no idea about presents yet. how many days do i have left?? two weeks? pfffft plenty of time.

PS. one of the most romantic presents i ever got was the following.. it probably won't apply to your relationship.. but you can get the idea behind it and why it was so sweet. bare with me here...

about 10 years ago (aging myself) my ex husband (i've been divorced for 7 years) and i got together. the relationship i was in before him was pretty terrible. i wound up losing almost everything i had because i had to get out, and left all my stuff there. he, of course, sold/burned/trashed all of my things.

among those things was almost all of my cd collection, within which was a multitude of very rare/hard to find nine inch nails cds. i never really brought it up a lot to my (at the time) husband, but he knew it had happened.

anyway, our first vday together i got a big box filled with INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED nine inch nails cds. how many? about 25 (i now own 43.. fun side note). they were all super hard to find. he drove for hours to some record stores to find imports, ordered things, bribed people, etc.

it wasn't the monetary value of the cds that made that present so special (they DID cost a lot, for the record, some were upwards of 30 bucks each). it was the fact that he spent so much time and effort to replace something he knew meant a lot to me. it really is the thought that counted. i will never forget that. although our relationship has long since dissolved, it remains one of the nicest things anyone has done for me.

so, obviously i'm not saying "buy her a bunch of cds!" heh... just trying to give some inspiration. think about what is important to her or what she really wants/needs that she won't ask for or get for herself.

I'm just saying what I would want...from anyone...right now...cash is all I need. I don't care about presents or sentiment, I need some money to get out of a bind. So that's a pretty good idea from my perspective.

Gift card to the SPA! mani/pedi, massage, facial. a bonus if you can find a place that lets her have a glass of wine and a lunch. I'd be in heaven! Then buy her another one with instructions not to use until the before she sees you.

take some sexy photos on your cellphone and send them to her, or email them to her, this shows you were thinking about her while you were taking them, and she gets some sexy photos! bust still send her flowers and maybe a stuffed version of her favorite animal

I gave my friend, her daughter, and her sister a place to stay for the weekend. Was a gift I wasn't expecting to have to give, but I'm glad I did it. They gave me their company on the loneliest day of the year for a single living alone.

Once I did a stripshow for a man as a V-day gift from his wife who was out of town 'to remember her by'.

So I totally say a stripper. A hot male stripper.
