    Default Ugly Outfit Hustle

Ok this might asound like a completley dumb idea and i am just a lil drunk her but i will go for it...

I will go to my club and be my regular sexy uber flirty self and try to give my best like any other night i want to make money. Now i will do my hair sleeked like normal and have pretty makeup so i feel confident...BUT i will wear and ugly plain outfit like something that kinda mismatces or something.

I am gonna try this tommorrow and normally i wouldnt want to talk to anybody if i didnt feel like a perfect 10 BUT this is en experiment so i will try to talk to as many men as possible to see the outcomes.......................................... ...

IN my mind i think it will sell dances to the guys who usually just want to talk because they will want me even more now once i take off my top

so is this retaerded or not? I was just reading the other outfit thread and this is what i come up wirth so i will let you know tommorrow on a thurs night. usually i make 400-600 on a thurs but occassionally 700-800

Sounds like a strange idea to me what it can't hurt to try it for an hour or so on the floor.

But some men wont notice stuff like a mismatched outfit. Just check the stripper outfit hall of shame thread. Many people posted ugly outfits only to have other girls say that had that outfit and made great money in it.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Clarify: You think you will sell more dances because guys will think your outfit is so ugly they will buy a dance sooner just to get you out of it?

I don't understand how an ugly or mismatched ouitfit can ever be a good thing to sell dances with...I would think guys would think, oh, she doesn't even car enough to wear somethign nice, I bether dances are boring and sloppy to.
At least, as a customer, that't what I'd think.

Or, I'd think..wow, this girl doesn't even make enough money for a nice outfit, she must really suck.

I just can't see this going anywhere good....

I think she's trying to break her attitude of "I have to look perfect otherwise I won't be confident enough to approach customers." Am I right?

However, my first thought was "heehee, I bet that could be kind of cute if you sold it right. 'Man, this dress is so ugly! Wanna help me get out of it?'" I think that would be fun in the right setting! Errr....not that I'd be confident enough to try it myself!

hmm...not sure what to think about that one...I understand you are trying to get out of the "must be perfect" mentality...but isn't that what men are coming to the clubs for? In most cases, if they wanted a normal-looking girl in an ugly outfit, they could just stay home. In any case, let us know what happens! Good luck.

Yea, I don't quite have the faith that guys know when an outfit is downright hideous or totally hot.

Guys don't know much about outfits. You could try this once, but you should eventually go back to investing in some nice dancewear.

Haha just wanted to add that I've never known of a guy to be like "No! Do not rush to take your clothes off, your outfit is just so gorgeous I want to look at it for just 5 more minutes!"

I don't think it's a dumb idea at all. Sometimes I think guys are intimidated when we look too good. Which is stupid and I think they should grow some balls, but whatever...
I bought this gorgeous mini dress when I was working in Vegas, it was a hit there but when I wore it here I made nooooo money. When I changed into an old used up t-bar set, the money started pouring in. Granted it wasn't mismatched but it isn't the prettiest thing in the world.
I'd say go for it. I'd love to hear about the outcome

It depends on your club I think. At one club I work at the vibe is VERY laid back and if you try to dress up too much you'll be looked at as kind of snobby. I always do best there in a basic outfit or a cheap skirt with a cut off t-shirt(with some kind of conversation starter on it like "crackhead trainee" or " I <3 Strippers" LOL!)

Worth a shot. If it doesnt work you only lost a little time...

I made great money with an outfit I knew was disgusting: a white babydoll dress with cherries on it (think maternity), white ruffle socks, and silver shoes. I wore it for kicks one night, made a g, and so decided to keep wearing it for a few more shifts. The guys loved it. Twas weird.

On $10 dance nights, I do better when I dress down, because it's a cheaper crowd who don't want an expensive dancer.

In a certain mood, I can also see how it would be therapeutic to go out on the floor knowing that you weren't looking your best. Maybe it would let you just stop worrying about looking perfect and run your hustle anyway. Maybe...

I used to do better in some clubs (not my current one) when I dressed down and focused less on makeup/hair. I think it was b/c I felt like I had to compensate MORE by being extra nice, flirty, and smiling more. I know, I should be like that anyhow, but it gave me a little push.

I feel being yourself is best. I work in small town clubs for the most part and I wear all types of outfits. I'm not a booty short, scrunchy butt type of girl so I wear dresses, gowns and robes with the occasional 2 piece skirt set mixed in.

PERSONALITY is more important than dressing like a JC Penney girl when you shop at Nordstrom.

A dancer can be well put together and classy in a working class club, as long as she has a fun, laid back personality, and makes the customers feel comnfortable.
