    Exclamation Winter Acne S O S

Hello ladies, I have a HUUGE problem with acne right now and I need some advice please! I’ve searched the site so far, but haven’t found anything that really answered my question… so here it is; I’m going to turn 25 this summer, and although I have never really had an acne problem in the past, for the past two winters I have been getting these pimples on my cheeks that really hurt and look gross. This only happens in cold weather conditions, and I have tried all types of remedies and products, but nothing seems to help. I have a wedding to go to in two weeks and the problem doesn’t seem to be going away, and I feel really embarrassed about my skin. In darker conditions it is easy to cover up, but in the daylight it seems to be impossible. I live in Ontario, Canada and the month of February is not only extremely cold, but also very difficult to book an appointment with my physician to get a referral for a dermatologist because the wait is very long. Does anyone have this problem, or any advice on how to battle this beast? Thanks girls, I really appreciate all of your good advice.

my winter acne is cause by dryness, i solve it by washing with a super gentle cleanser like Cetaphyil and moisturizing during the day with clinique moisturizer (the non-oil free one) and at night with cold cream.

Put a little Magick in your night.

Dr. Hauschka Normalizing Day Oil has made my skin soo much better this winter. It's a little pricey, but I don't need moisturizer on top.

You can follow this link to some reviews.

You didn't see the Acne Vent thread? That one's pretty freaking golden. You said you could find nothing that addressed yr specific problem, but I have a feeling that (complex and involving oils) remedy we talked about at the end is good for ALL bad skin types.

Are you sure it's not roseacea? Try the acne clearing oil by Mario Badescu, I heard it's good. It's not drying either, which is good for winter weather.

Thanks so much ladies, I really appreciate this site and all of your awesome tips and rockin' advice! I actually kept looking around this site for more stuff on the topic (I'm a little technologically challenged here lol), so it takes a little bit longer for me to maneuver around hahaha, but some of the girls were talking about using baking soda as an exfoliant with your daily beauty routine. Being as I had it in the house already it was worth a shot, so I gave'er a go and I fell in love with this little trick! Okay so the deal for those who haven't heard of this is that u take a little bit of baking soda and mix it up in your palm with a few drops of water(just eye it off to a nice paste). Then gently exfoliate and follow by a rinse- done, that's it. Left my skin feeling like a baby's bum and it appears to be helping clear my acne. Not sure if this is for everyone, because I did read that one lady had a problem with it, and that it actually made her skin worse, but if you don't have a bad reaction after maybe doing a small patch test it's a great and very inexpensive little weapon. thanks again

    P.S.
Mario Badescu , Dr. Hauschka Normalizing Day Oil ,and Cetaphyil products mentioned above, I've never heard of lol, but I am definitley looking into, sounds like good products I'll def. check it out. Much love and light
