    Default Baking Soda Mask

At the recommendation of someone about a week and a half ago, I tried the baking soda mask tonight.

    -Washed with a gentle cleanser
    -Made a BS mask.
    -toned with diluted ACV
-Followed with oil free acne moisturizer from Clean and Clear.

Anybody use it too? What did you think?

I started using it three days ago and my skin is already clearing up. I just make it into a paste and leave it on for 5-10 minutes, then scrub it off.

I have totally changed my ways of skin care! I read redifer's posts in the acne vent thread, so now I:

-wash with raw honey and rinse with green tea everyday
-tone with witch hazel or tea tree/lavender oil (whichever one I feel like)
    -tone with ACV at night
-use the baking soda as a mask or scrub twice a week
-incorporate oil cleansing into my week

I've only really done it for a couple weeks, but people have already commented on my skin!!! I'm so in love with these products!

I use raw honey. The brand is Really Raw. It is unheated and unstrained, and pesticide free! I buy it in the organic section of my grocery store. In the AM, I put it all over my face, let it set for a few minutes, then rinse off with warm water. I usually tone after that with witch hazel.

It has been the best thing ever for my skin! I've been doing my routine everyday and can see the difference, as can everyone else!

People have been commenting that my face has never looked better after only doing the mask 2x. I alternate between the BSM and other masks. Great stuff!

it's nice that baking soda works for you guys cuz it broke me the fook out. It took WEEKS for my skin to get back to normal.

    to make the mask/scrub I:

sprinkle about 2 or 3 tablespoons of baking soda in the palm of my hand, with my free hand I sprinkle a few drops of water into the baking soda.

    Ta-DA..easy..you've got paste.

Its not rocket science or an exact formula; if you add too much water ADD more baking soda.

Also- yesterday, I took a short cut in the shower. Instead of washing my face then using the "scrub" (ps. I dont use it as a mask per say, but instead like a scrub) I used my facewash in place of the water to make the paste.

    perfect.

Also, to comment above. I'm not sure what would be making you break out? What are you cleansing with normally? This should NOT be used as a cleanser, but as an exfoliant and pimple/blackhead/acne control.

    hope that helped.

    PP.

i've used BSoda on my skin as a scrub for years. i love it.. last sumer i made a scrub w/ BSoda, shea butter, a tad of EV olive oil and honey(my own concoction),...it works great amount of olive oil and honey is my secret as too much can clog ur pores. just the right amount can make skin super soft.

I will like to use this reciepe. What do you mean by toned with dulited ACV.

I know baking soda mix with certain chemical can cause bleaching, deep cleansing, and a chemical burn. I use baking soda to keep my teeth white. I also recommend baking soda and this other chemical. For those who have color teeth due to smoking, wine, and chewing tabaco. So I would love to know other many wonders of baking soda.

    I do this one: http://www.xanga.com/RiceBunny/56772...iful-skin.html.

It's honey, baking soda, and aspirin. It's been working out very well for me so far, even used in conjunction with Retin-A which gives me extremely sensitive skin.
