Ok, here's a simple money making projection game that my friend and I play with ourselves.... If you have a financial goal that you want to reach in a specific amount of time, this helps to put your earnings in perspective, and to project what you will and can realistically make. I will explain in terms of my situation.. I'm going away for three weeks to see my family in 17 days. I need to make between 3 and 4 Gs dancing before I leave to cover my bills, rent, savings goals, etc that will need to be paid before and while I'm away. I plan on dancing 8 nights in this timeframe, so I get out post it notes, or write in a column on a piece of paper 8 amounts that I will likely make on the 8 shifts that I work. I put in a few low amounts for bad shifts, one high amount for a really good shift, and average amounts that I usually make.
(for example: 300, 450, 700, 650, 200 etc...) These amounts add up to the large amount that is my goal to have before I leave.. I hang the paper or the post its on my bulletin board and when I come home every night I check off the amount that is closest to what I've made.. I find that doing this helps to keep what I make in perspective.. And to take the bad nights with the good nights, to be thankful for the amount I make even if its considered a bad night... Having this where I can see it in my house helps me to realize that if I stick to my plans, take everything day by day, and make it to work I will make the money that I need..
Its a pretty simple thing but I find it works for me....![]()
