    Default Cheap warm place to spend March ( outside U.S. ) ?

    Ok travel buff people ..... any suggestions on a beautiful and affordable place to spend somewhere between 2-4 weeks in March . I have saved and saved and saved to get some extended travel in and it's time to do it . I have recently been added as a domestic partner to a friends airline benefits, so I can fly internationally at a heavy discount now.

    I was leaning towards Bali ( I know ... it's a hell of a flight but gorgeous and very cheap ) or latin america .

    Is there anywhere YOU love thats warm and affordable ? I'm looking for specifics like an exact place to stay ( not just a country ect. ) ! I make 80% of my living via phone / the net , so I need those ameneties as I'll still be working around 15- 20 hours a week during the travel.

    ok. first up.

    what style of travel are you wanting? ie adventure? trpocical holiday of laying on a beach and drinking pina coladas? city shopping? something else?

    for a warm climate in march, with a relativley cheap cost to stay? ill vote thailand over indonesia. i know both places are pretty simmilar BUT indonesia have alot of bombings.i dunno.maybe im paranoid, but id rather go somewhere a bit safer.

    in thailand there loads of things to do;
    Kanchanaburi provance.
    its 2-3 hours northwest of Bangkok, if you hire a car you could see most of the main places within 2 days, and there are some nice hotels in the area catering for tourists. the tiger temple is the biggest drawcard to the area, you can spend a few hours with tigers and have pics taken etc.very cute!
    theres also erewen caves, saiyok falls, river kwai (you can ride elephants down it!!) and a fair bit of random military museums etc from some war?

    Bangkok worth spending a few days here, the shopping is great, on weekends theres a massive markets call chucktuchuck, its huge! easily a full day needed here! theres MBK a shopping mall in Siam in BKK, its really good for random cheap things and fakes too. i guess BKK is really only good to shop? lol. theres a snake farm, and a few muesums and temples in bangkok to check out if your interested.

    Phuket/ koh phi phi/ koh samui etc
    some friends of mine just got back from here,. phi phi is where they filmed the beach,it is stunning! theres loads of places you could snorkle, or if you have your PADI (or want it!) there loads o0f tourist boats offering it. these places are great to just laze in the sun, drink cocktails and look at beautiful scenery

    thailand sorta has it all imo.

    but did you want a place you can just lay on a trpoical beach for a few weeks? cos many islands down ehre offer that. Fiji, samoa, tahiti, new caladonia etc
    and some fun warm cities in Asia which offer both city shopping and beach resorts are: Singapore, indonesia,thailand,borneo, actually-australia! haha
