I've looked into BBS and , IMHO for the prices they want and the types of handbags I want, it was simply not worth it. BBS is particularly annoying because you got to give them a credit card # and choose a membership before you can view the detailed...

The rental fee is $300 for the Fendi Buckled shoulder bag at FBTR. It retails for $1750 at Neiman Marcus. If I had $300 a month to spend on a handbag, it makes more sense to me to save for 6 months to own it. Same goes for they're less exclusive lines like Coach, paying $85 a month for a $400 handbag just doen't make sense to me.

I think it's a decent thing to do if you want the bag for an occassion or season. on that not, I wouldn't do it. my days of wasteful consumerism are over. I like my 15$ bag as much as I liked a 400$ purse i bought.

like blockbuster, a movie rental is about 1/4-1/5 of brand new retail. it seems from what mia qouted as prices, those make sense....

It seems silly to me. Blow hundreds of dollars on purses that you will never actually own. Or save those hundreds of dollars and buy the purse. Plus, having to return it in perfect condition seems too hard. Too many 'what if's" to the borrower to me. After that $100 damages fee then what happens?

    NO NO NO

I used them once upon a time. Wanted a cute handbag for my trip to England. Within 2 weeks the strap broke as did the button clasp. You don't know how the bags have been treated before they got to you.... but if they finally give out while in your possession... well, thats your problem

I looked at the site and was turned off by the prices. As someone else previously stated, I'd rather save up and buy the bag myself. I love Kathy VanZeeland bags. They're durable, cute and affordable.

I think sites like these are for people with a short attention span. Sure you could save for 6 months and buy the handbag yourself but by this time some people would be bored of it already and want something different. This way they always have the latest handbag without having to save constantly.
