Smiley Please Tell Me Your Story

I'm a newbie (well tomorrow I'll be going to my first club to see if I can work). I've never been to a club to ask for a job so I'm not sure what to say or even what time to go or if I should call before going to a club. I'm totally at a loss as to what to do.

I have a great body but I'm out of shape so I'm not sure what to do and what not to do on stage to ensure that I don't start breathing really heavy and panting for air.

Please share your first time stories with me. Thank you in advance.

Check out the newbie thread for some very helpful advice

My first night I showed up around 6 and asked to speak to the hiring manager. I came in looking very nice with my makeup all done cuz I wanted to start that night. He had me fill out a few papers and read the rules then introduced me to a more experienced dancer who was very kool and snuck me a drink (im underage) and.....
we decided to sit and watch the stage in pervert row with one of her regulars and I watched her give him a few dances before she went on satge and then after I went up. I was so nervous I forgot to take my top off until the last minute when a cutie came to tip me and told me it would probably be a good idea ya know.....
So I got off and then continued the stage rotation before giving a few dances and walking around to introduce myself to men. I went onstage again towards the end of the night and it went a lot smoother.

Most of the other workers are very helpful and the customers were pretty ez. It took me a few weeks before I had a bad night and I had a pretty good few months in the begining. It never hurts to let guys think you are newer then you actually are and just read up on the hustle hut and you will be making lotsa $$$ in no time Good luck!

hee...the first time I ever stepped foot in a SC was the first night I ended up working. I told the manager that I wanted to audition...wasn't planning on doing it that night, I just wanted a feel for the place first. I did not even have any stripper gear yet. So he shows me to the DR and asked the girls who happened to be in there if they had some things I could borrow. As soon as i was dressed, I was practically thrown onstage. Completely sober. With no idea what I was supposed to be doing.

Luckily one of the top girls decided I was worth taking under her wing...this is why I always try to help the newer girls if asked. Who knows where I'd have been if someone didn't help me those first few nights.

My first day sucked money-wise, but I chose a mid-week dayshift at a tiny blue collar titty bar cause I didn't want a big audience. I couldn't afford to buy any stripper stuff, so I wore an old babydoll nightgown. I was hired, despite total lack of dancing and hustling skills, but hardly anyone came in, and I only made $80. Iwas sad and tired at the end of the day thought for sure my stripping career was over, but ended up working there a few more times, then moving onto to bigger bars and (thank god) more money.

I guess the moral is, if your first day is amazing and you make $1000, fantastic. But if it's not, don't sweat it. You'll get the hang of it.

Your first couple of days might be crappy unless you get really lucky. I didn't do very well my first week but I soon got the knack of things and with the help of hustle hut on this site tended to out bank everyone. Don't stress over the first few nights, it takes time.

As long as you are not super overweight you should do fine. Dancing in itself will help burn calories and get you into shape. There really isn't any need to go on a strict diet or workout like a maniac to believe that you can start dancing. Very few dancers have "perfect" bodies.

I called 1st and they told me to come in and talk to a manager. So I did. I told him I wanted a job dancing and he gave me one. My 1st night wasnt anything special, nothing stands out much about it. I made $300 which isnt great but for a 1st night isnt bad especially considering I had no clue how to hustle. I also left early because I was sick from not eatting and didnt have a clue the club had a kitchen!

edit-like whoa that was my goddess post.

I had been contemplating dancing for a while -- over 2 yrs, actually! -- but never had the guts to do it, and I kept convincing myself (as a coping mechanism) that I wasn't desperate/destitute enough to need to strip just yet. (I guess I was hoping that any day now, things would get better?) When things did NOT get better and I finally DID decide to seriously dance, I would go to a few clubs to scope the scene and see what they were like, but I'd always be too scared to actually audition. I was so shy! Plus, I was really self conscious about the fact that I didn't know how to dance.

At this point, I was beyond frustrated with my extreme lack of money and lack of courage/self-confidence to just go in there and do my thing. So on one Friday night when I went to check out a club, the bouncer told me it would be a $5 cover. I put on this bravado fake confidence and told him, "But I'm here to audition" even though I was really too scared to. To my surprise, the bouncer said "Oh really? Follow me" and led me back to the dressing room and told the female manager that I wanted to audition! I was so scared, thinking "There's no way I can back out of this now."

All I had to wear was a black print bikini...not the stripper outfit kind, but the bathing suit kind! I had these clunky, scuffed black high-heels. The manager lent me a pair of dancer stilettos because all I had were these clunky, scuffed old black heels. Because it was a packed Friday night and the manager didn't want my audition interfering with the rotation, she took me to the empty bachelor party room and had me do a few moves around the pole. Being in an empty room with just the manager and barely audible music made me feel even MORE scared and on the spot...and I'm sure it showed! The manager chuckled and made a comment that I "couldn't dance [well]", BUT she said that I had a nice body and I think she also felt bad for my poor money situation, so she hired me and told me to come back on Monday! I was ecstatic!

The manager helped me out a lot. She had girls lend me old outfits that they didn't use anymore. She lent me the spare pair of stilettos I worn during the audition, and had me pay her $10 payments on each shift I worked until the full $40 price was paid off(during the time I still owed money, I was to keep the shoes at the club during times I wasn't working).

The first shift I worked was a horrible dead Monday afternoon. But I wasn't expecting to make a lot of money that first day. Instead, I treated the first few days as a "job orientation" or "adjustment period" and concentrated more on watching other girls' dance moves and the way they did things(learn thru emulation) and getting more comfortable with the whole workplace. The girls were very friendly and welcoming, which helped a lot. I was so shy and stiff! LOL I didn't have the balls to ask a single guy for a couchdance...as a vastly impoverished pauper, $20 for a dance seemed like an extravagant cost, so I felt guilty and "demanding" by asking guys for one. (NOTE: DO NOT follow my meek example...feel confident that your dances ARE worth the price!) As a result, I didn't sell a single lapdance and I only made like $60 in 7 hrs of work on my 1st day. I didn't start to "get in the swing of it" and sell lapdances until about my 3rd day. THAT'S when I started to make "real" money. I was so surprised how much I could make! Here I was, going from making $200/week as a full-time retail cashier, to making $50/week part-time at the only "normal" job that would hire me, to making $200-400 per DAY! It was exhiliarating. From there, I started to really like dancing, and I got the balls to quit the bullshit $50/week job. After that, I kept developing my hustle and stripper persona over the next several months. I only danced for <2 yrs total and I probably never fully developed my hustle skill as a result of burnout and losing my interest in dancing.

Anyway, that's my whole story about how I started. Good luck!

My first night was kind of a drunken blur, hahaha, but I actually met my very first regular who was an FBI Agent. My first regular on my first night, not too shabby. He was very smart, very kind, and extremely funny and charming. He also made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole night knowing I was brand new and all. After my time with him, he told my manager what an exceptional job I did. That pretty much sealed the deal for me and I knew this was my calling.
