Y'all have been so helpful in tips for me; though it was time to throw in my own Public Service Announcement.
I loathe the jeans I penny-pinchingly picked up from Old Navy. They do have some cute stuff, but the jeans are just horrid. Tight in all the wrong places, stiff, always falling down, I mean, who fuckin' needs it?
I finally broke down and got a recommendation from a mommy board, and went to pick up my new Motherhood jeans today - the Super Stretch jeans with the Secret Fit belly - and they are worth every penny. And what's really nuts is that I had only saved a grand total of about 5 DOLLARS for the displeasure of enduring the Old Navy version. Hallelujah!
I might just give the Old Navy pairs to the Salvation Army NOW. Really not an overstatement just how comfortable and practical and cute they are. Got a pair of black pants for work with the same Secret Fit belly too. If you're put off by the 'full coverage' of the belly part - DON'T BE! I initially was, thinking it would feel too restrictive, but the fabric is actually amazingly light and very, very stretchy. They even have varying leg lengths to better customize your fit. The denim itself is also very stretchy. SO. COMFY.
I'm reluctant to spend a whole lot of money on maternity clothes, and have a lot of hand-me-downs and such, but man, I'm worth two good, versatile pairs of pants, damn it! Three more months is a lot of mileage in my book. Besides, I do plan on having at least one more baby, so these will get plenty of wear.
Hope that helps anyone who thought they were resigned to the same fate!
