I take it daily and I get dry mouth, too.
Can't get claritin-D in Oregon 'cause they make meth out of it. Anything with pseudephedrine in it is prescription only.
I'm considering buying a bunch of meth and trying to figure out how to turn it back into psedephedrine. I'd make a mint.

lol. i don't take the D cause it makes me really gittery (course, so does my inhaler.. but if i get my allergies under contoll i don't need the inhaler as much). claritin D also upsets my stomach, i'm guessing because it's a stimulant.

PP: No side effects here. Have you been taking it on an empty stomach?
"The Pill Book" recommends taking on empty stomach for best results, but adds that it may be taken with food or milk if it upsets your stomach.

i think it's giving me constipation too...... is that even possible?

No side effects for me. I love the stuff.

I think the constipation is related to the dry mouth - I drink lots of water to counteract both of them.
I find that lots of water, all by itself, also helps with my allergies, too.

This is kinda disgusting but when I took Claritin it dried me out so bad that my nose would bleed repeatedly each day. I finally found out my blood vessel in my nose was busted from it. They had to burn it back together and that didn't feel good. I tried something else, the same thing happened. I can't take allergy medications at all, I just have to suffer through the allergies. This isn't something that happens too often and it isn't the Claritin, I just can't take allergy medications at all. Just sharing my experience with allergy medications.
