Default Help me get rid of my mushy stomach

I have the tiniest arms and legs, but a m ushy tummy that is not so hot. Its just...mushy, and big on the sides. I have a killer muffin top

I need to loose weight FAST! I've heard about the lemon juice/cayenne diet, but I dont have a juicer. I'm cool with going completely liquid... I probably drink more of my calories anyways.

My main thing is I get hungry very often, so is there something I can drink to fill me up so I'm not stuffing my face with pure shit instead of being a flat tummied sex goddess?

I have the 'muffin top' too, I can be hot all over and still have a substantial tummy. I don't think all liquid would be good for my aneamic ass right now, looking forward to some suggestions...

If you drink most of your calories anyway... why not cut that out and switch to just water.

When I cut soft drinks totally out of my diet, that was 5 lbs fast. Combine that with some sit ups and you're on your way.

Not that I should be talking... I've been so inactive in L.A. that I feel like a heiffer. Must get out more!

Ya know what works? Cardio. Weight training. Working out doing either or at least 3-5 days a week minimum. Muffin top is fat. So combined diet and exercise will make it disappear. If you do a random liquid diet you won't see the long term benefits that cardio, WT and a healthy diet can provide.

Why do you want to do a liquid diet? To lose the muffin? If you really never want to see it again cardio, weight training and diet is the best and most healthiest way.

I recommend the rest of the site but here are a few articles for you.

I hate to be a sophie marie but I'm getting lipo. Its another option. My body composition doesn't smooth out the muffin top when I work out. I just get overall smaller with a smaller muffin top but never goes away. I plan on maintaining said investment with some of the tips listed in those links. I damn well don't want to go back again.

Obviously thats the best option, but I dont have long term. I have a VERY important photoshoot (possibly life determining) next week. I just need a quick fix before I start doing mad cardio and waiting weeks for results.

Oh ok I see your reasoning. My best advice for you is no soda or bubbly anything before shoot. Drink alot of water to hydrate your skin and overall health. Don't eat anything that gives you gas either. Of course before a shoot I would kill a few hundred crunches too..it never hurt. This will keep your stomach flat but theres not much you can do for a quick decrease in muffin top.

I hate to suggest this, but I know a lot of fighters who do this. They spend from 1-2 hours in the gym alternating between some cardio type of exertion (like 20 minutes running, or 20 minutes on the bike) heavily dressed., then spend 20 minutes in the steam room. They'll alternate between these for the hour or two. The point is to drop water weight for a quick weight loss to make weight for fights. But it is unhealthy, but there's no real way I can condemn it as I've seriously considered doing it and my fiance has done it as well. I've seen him drop anywhere between 5 and 10 pounds in water weight. Of course, you have to remember to replace the water (Like doing this the night before your photo shoot, then drinking water throughout the day of your shoot). Any super quick fix that doesn't cost much money or take the time to exercise is probably not too healthy for you.

Don't do the lemon juice/cayenne diet. It's easy to gain the weight after you're done (or so I've heard). There's a plan to keep the weight off, but it's very hard and I don't know if it's worth a try. After you're done fasting on lemon juice/cayenne pepper, you have to drink organic juice for the entire day, then make homemade soup...You can't process normal food right away, or the weight will come back. I tried it for two days, and then gave up. During the two days, I could feel that my pants got a little loser.

It all came back once I started eating normally

I'd recommend eatting 6 or 7 small meals a day consisting of approximately 200 calories per meal. For instance instead of eatting a whole chicken sandwich for lunch eat half at noon and the other half at 3pm. Don't eat until you are "full", just until the hunger is satisfied. Also foods high in fibers and protein will make you feel full for longer. If you want to eat more than 1200-1400 a day than any type of cardiovascular exercise (treadmill, eliptical, stairclimber, etc.) will burn calories.

Once you start losing the weight try pilates to help build your core and tone your abs.

I got rid of belly flab by working out (heavy cardio), eating more protein and cutting sugar out of my diet (this means alcohol too.) However, if you have a genetic propensity to get a tummy, the fat will jump right back on as soon as you start eating junk or stop working out frequently.

Can someone tell me (or maybe show me) what a "muffin top" is exactly? Just genuinely curious.

When I'm in a crunch I do Bikram yoga, get a suddenly slender body wrap and take liquid protein with collagen. Almost forgot, I drink lots of veggie juice..

and its hard to find jeans that fit because my hips are one size and my butt/thighs are another. so annoying

I feel your pain. Most of my jeans gap at the waist because in order to be big enough to fit my ass and hips, they are way too big for my waist. Even low riders. Ugh.

To the OP...I blast yoga for abs by Rodney Yee(thanks Farrah!!)before a big shoot..my abs feel instantly tighter

Girls are supposed to naturally have some fat on their stomachs no matter what because it is the curse of the baby-bearing gender. If there is no fat at all, it's not really natural. So if extra stuff is consumed, that's where it goes. Usually excess chub there is just built up water/fat.
Anyways, I'd suggest drinking water and eliminating most fatty foods from your diet, just for a week. Oh, and an hour and a half of exercise is tough, but well worth it. Try to stay regular, since constipation equals bloating and yeah, avoiding salt helps too. If you feel tempted to eat too much, find a way to distract yourself.

to flatten your tummy dont eat anything three hours before going to sleep. it only takes a few days to see a major difference when i stick to it.

lots of water, no other types of drinks

You could also try doing a cleanse but i dont think a fast is necessary. There should be a transition phase before the fast and I dont think you have enough time to do it properly. Things need to look flabbier if you start using protein/muscle as an energy source

I would love to see before and after pics of whatever you try. I'd be willing to share my own too. My tummy isn't looking too great right now. I need to spend more time at the gym and less on SW unfortunately and that should do it ! It's just easier said than done. If only I could surf SW and my other fav. sites while doing some form of excercise..........
