I was asking my bf's uncle about doing my taxes and he suggested H&R block online. It's 15 bucks or something and asks you all the questions and what to put where and whatnot. Anybody ever used this for filing taxes as a dancer?

My bf and I both filed for absolutely free here:
We (separately) entered our personal information, W-2 info, and answered all the questions, then e-filed for free.
I'm not sure how complicated your taxes can be if you use this free version (the first option on the left). At almost every question, there's a button that says 'Guide Me' or something, but they won't tell you anything unless you upgrade. But our taxes were simple, so if you can handle DIY stuff, this might be good for you!

If you're an independent contractor dancer the program you use to prepare your taxes needs to be able to do Schedule C 'profit or loss from a business'. Not all of the free / very low cost tax programs include the Schedule C capability.
I used H&R Block online - and 2 years later I got a $3500 bill from the IRS. I wouldnt suggest it.
I've used parts of the free H&R Block online to figure out my estimated taxes owed so I could file and extention and give my shit to my CPA. Even if you file extention, they want to see some money!

You get what you pay for....free tax advice probably isn't good tax advice.

These programs are tax calculators, not tax advisors. If you need advice, maybe you need to search online or get a book. Or, horrors, pay an advisor.
TurboTax Basic gives you a Schdule C, but not as much 'hand-holding' as their upgrades do. I haven't gotten that far with their online version; neither do I know if state tax is handled by the online calculator. But I need to find out soon as all my 1099's come in. You find my advice to you in the above.

I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.
