Default Min. 3 for 100 on really busy nights?

I don't like weekends because normally the custies are cheap but on the other hand, it's super packed at night.

Some girls I know will not do $20 floor dances on weekends. Has anyone done this? I think $20 dances on packed nights might be a waste but then again, the whole crowd might be cheap.

It's not a bad idea to start off with an upsell. Offer to sell blocks of your time if they don't want to commit to VIP (or if your club doesn't have it, like mine); be blunt and say that your time is valuable when you have so many customers waiting for you. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! If nothing else, it can help weed out the puny spenders.

There was a thread a bit ago about saying you have an "appointment" with other customers and advising the current guy to make an appointment with you for that night or another shift you work. It creates the sense that, again, you are a desirable commodity with lots of men offering you top dollar to be with them. That creates an environment where they'll be more likely to bring more and spend more on you. Kind of the same thing as what you're saying, I think.

Me included. I wont waste my time doing $20 dances because we don't get tipped, so the $20 is the full price of a one song dance. It's not worth hustling, walking to the dance area and then doing a one song dance when I know there will be plenty willing to pay $50. I just tell them it's $50. Sometimes they seem annoyed but there are other girls who will do the $20.

If it's that busy, like to where guys are grabbing you for dances and calling you over, you can most definitely raise the minimum price you'll take for dances. When demand increases and supply stays the same, price increases.

Well said Susan. Personally I will take a sale in any form but not allow them to get only one dance. By this, I mean that after the first dance, I won't take no for an answer.

At the very least I'll get 2 out of a cheap custy on a busy night but most definitely playing up VIP.

The bottom line for me, is that I'd rather have $20 from Bob than $0 from Bob. However, I do whatever I can to avoid doing a single song for a small amount. Like, my dances are $35 (we set our own prices, starting at $20). I tell the customer that he can have one dance for $35, or we can make a deal, and he can get two for $50. (I don't do this unless I know the guy is super cheap and won't buy more than one dance cuz I don't want to get fucked if he would pay full price for 15 dances!) That way, even if I went down on my price, I came out with $50, instead of $35.

Reading this it sounds dumb, but it always seems to make sense when I'm at work.

I think sales in our business is really, really not a one tactic works for all thing so honestly I'd suggest you not rule out one or the other on any given shift.

Go with your gut instinct on each customer. Your instincts will sharpen over time and you'll get better and better and which approach works on the various custome types.

I would never say to have this as a hard-and-fast weekend policy, because like Chrissy said you should take the money however you can get it, and that includes the regular floor dance price, but when you are in high demand and can do so, definitely do.

This of course includes telling guys who are waiting on you that they can jump directly to the front of the line by a) heading straight to VIP or b) if your club lacks that, outbidding the other customers for floor dances.

I really love this attitude! Can someone steer me to threads that have covered all the possible ways of not taking no for an answer, specifically on a second dance?

On really busy nights I tell guys "I'm only doing VIPs right now", cause I know for every 2 that say no, the 3rd one will go to VIP
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

Hmm this is interesting, and I have some questions.

    1) If people have been to the club before and know it costs 20$ a dance, are they offended (feel like their getting ripped off) if you say each dance is 30$? Or will they just think it's better?

    2) regarding ^, would you tell them the price before or after you do the dance/ drag them to the dancing area?

I know these are referring to cheap customers but like PCQ said I'd rather have 20$ than no dollars if I tried to up sell. If they did say no to the up-sell, would you just walk away or actually bargain with them? I think bargaining is kinda insulting.

Definitely tell them what you charge before the dance because if they are expecting it to cost $20 and then you tell them it's $30 they will no doubt feel ripped off. Charging more for dances would be hard to pull off in Austin, Joplin, though you could try telling them "I have a three-dance (or $) minimum right now because I'm so busy." It is hard to upsell there since there is no VIP, but it is easy to sell more than one dance. If they say no to the upsell, you either really do have more customers waiting who you know will pay what you are asking or you decide to take what they want to spend. You're not bargaining if you're accepting the going rate, you're upselling if you're asking for more.

Keep Austin Weird, right? A lot of stuff on this board doesn't apply here, damn. I already "require" a 3 dance policy which works 90% of the time, so I guess I shouldn't mess with whatever works. Thanks Susan!

Every customer is different so I don't recommend a one size fits all policy when trying to make money.

I just keep dancing and say "You dont want me to stop, do you?" or "I can tell you want me to keep dancing" or "I love dancing for you, lets do another one" or whatever pops out at that moment. The first one isnt so great because theres an option for him to say no but the others work. Actually, they all work...

at the club i work at dances have always been $20/song. about 2 months ago i started charging 30$ a song and its seriously the best thing ive done since i started dancing. usually they'll pay with 2 twenties and not want the change so i end up making 40$ a song instead of 20$.

if someone asks me how much a dance is before we head back ill tell them 30$, if they say "why is it more for you?", i reply "you get what you pay for" or something along those lines and theyll usually say ok without a problem. if they quibble ive found that when im firm about my price theyll usually find some extra money.

if they dont ask the price, i wait till the song is about to start, sit on their lap and say "just to warn you sweetheart my dances are $30, are you okay with that?" usually at this point they wont say no. it hard to resist a face full of boobies and some eye lash batting. if they start to waver and were already in there i might do it for $25, but it they get a second one its $30 again.

on slow nights i sometimes feel like a lose a few dances by overcharging but in the end i make more anyway so it just works out. just do the math; 2 dances at $30= 3 dances at 20, 3 dances at 30$= 5 dances at $20 (usually theyll just tip you the extra $10).

unless you can feel out that they REALLY dont have $30 or a friend to lend it to them, just stick to your guns and they'll usually come around. i highly recommend that every girl tries this. makes my job so much easier!

I kind of think this is a bad idea, as I often can turn a dance into a VIP. Plus, 1000 dollars is only 50 dances on the floor, which is super do able if it's that packed. Fuck it- I don't look a gift horse in the mouth you know?

Well, I've always fantasized about doing what you're doing hazeljames, I've always stopped myself. I know clubs don't allow you to set your own prices here, and I also usually sell multiples, so I'm worried it would cut that down.

But fuck, my dances are hot and better than what they usually get for $20 - I really should try it.

My regulars may get grandfathered in at the old price, but then again - inflation.

I always make sure I'm in a position facing him, with my face right near his at the end of the song. Keep going just a few seconds into the next song, then look up with a grin, look back at him, nod my head YES while saying "we can do another?" Not "should I" or "do you want", but "WE CAN...?" It's almost impossible to say no to

It is RARE that I don't get at least one repeat dance.
